So much for Chip Kelly

I'm not sure if the Bearcats are a bad team, but it was hilarious that they beat Kelly at UCLA in his first game.

I don’t know if Cincy is a bad team this year but they only won 4 games last year I believe

Cincy is bad but UCLA is too. They went 5-7 last year with a 1st round pick at QB. Then lost him and a bunch of other starters.

FWIW UCLA was actually 6-7. Agreed Hence the reason UCLA fired their coach

Good to see Michigan lose as well. I’ve always thought Harbaugh was overrated and not as good as people thought.

Always good to see Michigan lose.

Harbaugh is an NFL coach. Anything outside of traditional offense makes his head spin. He again has a shitty 1950s offense and any team with an athletic QB makes his team look silly

Agreed. He’s definitely an NFL coach. He’s “old school” when it comes to offensive philosophy.

It will take Chip some time to get his type of players, they play a wonky style that requires small lineman.

Cincy is always a team that could be bigger than they are. There is a lot of talent around that area and Fickell is getting those guys to committ . I would love to see Cincy have a better season than Ohio State.

Harbaugh is a very good coach, his style has a small shelf life though.

You are correct. Cincinnati went 4-8 last year and in 2016. After 2016 Tommy Tuberville left and was replaced by Ohio St. assistant Luke Fickell. He had the 47th ranked recruiting class this year, the highest in the AAC and non Power 5 conferences. They are projected to be improved, but still only to finish around .500. But the win over UCLA will probably lead them to a better year, as their most difficult games left are Navy, UCF & USF. So I concede that by Power 5 standards and their last 2 years on the field, they probably shouldn't be considered a good team. But I wouldn't be surprised if they win 8-9 games this year. It was an embarrassing loss for Kelly and UCLA, no doubt.

Harbaugh is the only coach that could make me consider pulling for Notre Dame. It's like watching Cheatersee play aubarn, you pull for a sinkhole.

Chip is trnasitioning from as pure a pro-style as there was to needing 5’9” track stars. It takes time.

That said, I’m am perfectly happy with CDM

I think butter cup getting a job at Michigan is going to hurt him worse… Sorry but Harbaugh is not the person you want to learn from unless you wanna learn how to whine and cry like a baby; 49ers!!!

CowChip Kelly loses to Cincy. :D

Frost got a dose of what UF has had to deal with in recent years.
Nebraska and Akron won’t play a football game this weekend. They got in an opening kickoff on Saturday before storms in the Lincoln area caused a three-hour delay. And after a flurry of reports that they’d play at 11:30 a.m. ET Sunday, Nebraska said the game was off: The game vs. Akron has been cancelled ...

As I've said all along, I'm glad they didn't make the cut for a UF job offer.
Sounding out someone is not the same thing as an actual job offer...

Danny boy --- UF 53 - 6 CharSo --- :)

If they lose to Ohio State again I think Harbaugh will step down. His ego won't be able to take it.

Coaches who did not play division( 2 ) teams like Charleston Southern.

Dust bowl Chokers 63 - 14 FAU
About as close to being a D2 as you can get, and still be a D1...

LOL :D:D:D

PS
While PU-it and tennis-sea got totally smoked by a WVa team that was 7-6 in 2017...
And didn't their QB beat those rubber-dollies a couple of years ago with another team? :p

Cow-Chip has shown he is a good coach.
Scott Frost has shown he is a good coach.
Dan Mullen has shown he is a good coach.

Cow-Chip is a West coast guy
Frost is a Nebraska guy
Dan is a SEC guy and some of Florida's most successful teams came while Dan called plays.

All got the fit they needed. I believe all will see success at their current job.

I don't care if it was Charleston Southern or Chiefland High School we played. It was a breath of fresh air seeing things get done like they should have. Any improvements that need to be made will be addressed today I'm sure.

2017 FAU 11-3 ( 8 -0 ) conference USA east division champ with 10 game win streak

FAU RB and Mike LB projected first round picks

We had second string 4* QB Austin Kendall was in before the 1st half was over ( he’s better than Franks) :p

Congrats on the big win against vaunted Charleston Southern :D

* note; Perine should be your starting RB. Lizzerds have some good young WR ( Franks is still Not very good ) will get eaten alive by good defenses. Defense? Hard to tell against a high school ran veer offense .

3 Up and 3 Down from CFB Week 1 (so far)
UP - Oklahoma looks better than last year...Notre Dame played fantastic on D...Auburn pulled out a gritty win

Down - Texas laid an enormous egg (again)...Michigan is not any better...Play calling in general is awful

You talking about a high school team? That is what FAU is as well. OU should have no trouble in the Big 12. It’s the worst conference of the Power 5. It’s atrocious outside of 2-3 teams.

Oklahoma is a very good team, FAU is not. They may be better than the cupcake we played, but let's not pretend you guys pounded anybody relevant.

You guys should make the playoff again this year. Florida Atlantic will be playing in some Beach Bowl.

Now I've seen it all. The dust bowl choker attempting to pump up FAU...

11-3 FAU in 2017

L - FAU 19 - 42 Navy 7-6

L - FAU 31 - 34 Buffalo 6-6

Ten of their 11 wins came against chumps like::

W.Ky 6-7
Old Dominion 5-7
Charlotte 1-11
Plus D2 Bethune-Cookman

And they beat mighty 6-6 Akron in the Boca Raton Bowl...

Really LMFAO now... :D:D:D:D:p:D:D:D:D

Lane Kiffin, bro. LOL

KiffRat is a good coach ( yes he has his issues ) my point instant they are a much better team than Charleston southern ( embarrassing opponent ).

Say what you will ( Choklehoma, Bamr, and even the Rubber Dollies ) take on tough OOC. I will give the lizzerds this, they do play free shoes every year. I’m honest on that

Ummm. SEC with 14 teams is subpar other than about 5-6 teams Zzzzzzz

How many HCing jobs has he been fired from now? LOL

I get trying to flame Insta-idiot, so carry on.

UF plays 8-9 SEC teams, plus FSUcks.
Occasionally they'll play another Power-5, like the scUM or Mich last year.

This year we begin with a new HC with a D2 patsy, never called then anything but Air+.

Who did your chokers play in 2017 OoC?
0-12 Texas El Paso-out-O
5-7 Tulane
12-2 tOSU
====
In Conf?
7-6 Tx
7-6 WV
6-7 TxTech
1-11 Baylor - only win vs Kans-ass
1-11 Kans-ass - only win vs a D2

And you lost to freakin' 8-5 IowaSt.

You played 3 opponents with a combined W/L record of 2-34!!!!
When you're standing in a hole that deep, maybe you should just stop digging...

(and hand your bent shovel to the red-turd GhostOfBrainless, he never tires of digging)

LOL. You just gave the SEC a compliment. What other conference has 5-6 good teams? In the meantime the Big 12 is atrocious and probably the worst conference of all the Power 5 conferences.

Hate Notre Dame like 10 kinds of poison. Didn't hate seeing them beat the Meatchicken, but to be fair, I would have been ok with them losing that game. They need to beat the Holes later this year, but now I'm concerned that if they do it will push them to a really good year and don't want that either.

Life is tough when you are a one-team football fan that wants everybody else to lose every game.

UCLA just lost to a bad Cincy team

Wouldn't have mattered if they had won by 50. He still wouldn't be the right guy for our program.

And I don't say that because of sour grapes. I say that because he prefers the West Coast. Even if he had come here, in a couple of years he would have bolted West, and we would be starting over again. I'm not going to say Mullen is the best coach in the country, but I think he might be the best coach for Florida. When we had Spurs, we had the best coach for Florida and the best coach in the country. That combination doesn't happen very often.

Of course, with Urban we had the best coach in the country (until Saban came back from the pros), but maybe not the best coach for Florida, which is why he didn't last long and left a mess behind.

All in all, I'd rather have the right coach for Florida. Stability in the program and solid progress will bring the recruits, and when he has his guys, we will be nationally relevant again, consistently.
