Before the season began I was just hoping that UF would at least be bowl illegible by the end of the season. Dan has done a good job.
How is Texas ranked above us? They lost to Maryland, struggled against a bad Baylor team and our win over LSU is better than their top win thus far.
Oh well, winning will fix all and if we beat Georgia (big if) I can't see us being kept out of playoff contention talk.
I am anxious to see how LSU plays Alabama this year, it will be a good barometer of how well or poorly we would stack up against that bunch.

Texas has been a media darling ever since Austin became insanely liberal in the middle of a Red state. They will likely choke eventually as they always do.
Well, good for Austin for being more liberal but keep it in your pants and try and avoid having these political meltdowns. Even a stupid one masked as a reason Texas gets attention. Notice what he said I did. I 'tweaked' and attacked Austin by calling it a liberal city. That's a fact, it's one of the most liberal cities in America.

I don't think Texas is in the Top 10 because Austin is a liberal bastion in a conservative state. The fact is that most college towns are havens for liberalism/socialism. UT has a ton of money, powerful alumni and cred with the old time college football establishment. They did lose to Maryland in their opener, but they beat another establishment darling USC, then TCU who was ranked #17 at the time, plus #7 Oklahoma. They are trying to prop up the Big 12 as a legitimate contender for the playoffs and the only real challenge to them winning out is West Virginia, who is not as good as people thought. The goal, I think, is to keep the SEC from getting 2 teams into the Final 4.

This is why whenever a Traditional (not liberal) football teams wins 4-5 or 5 of 6...they are in the Top 10. Think Notre Dame bias, although nobody gets the love quite like them.
I've never been to Austin. What goes on around there that makes it so liberal? At this point I think I'll stay out of Austin.

Notre Dame has always gotten a huge bump for a different reason. They are media darlings but it goes back to the 1920s when the majority of the media covering this new sport of college football were in the North. Notre Dame was the north's champion. When Southern upstarts like Vandy, then Alabama and Tennessee came along, they were largely ignored and considered inferior to the 'great' Northern teams like Notre Dame.
No team in America gets a better bump from winning than Notre Dame does. It's always been that way, and always will be.

I've been to Bearkley once. I will never go back. I was basically scared shitless to eat any meat. I was scared to take a wizz and have somebody attack me for polluting mother Earth. I do my best to avoid going anywhere in the state of California at all costs. I suspect if Trump wins again there will be a real push by the liberals in the state to secede from the union. And maybe we should let them go. There's plenty of good people in the rural areas, we'll take them for free.
Would Mexico be willing to trade the entire state of California for the Islas Marías Islands or at least Cozumel? Well even take on the prisioners in the federal prision they have there.
