Apparently that kente cloth comes from the Ashanti tribe of Ghana, which has a centuries-long history of engaging in slave trading.
@urtren @bradleygator @Nolec @sadgator do you think this is a good look for your party?

The REAL question is....did Pelosi and Schumer KNOW how that cloth was tied to the tribe that championed slave trading?
I can't see how they wouldn't know.
So then the REALLY scary question to ask is....did they not care if anyone found out OR did they WANT to dog whistle to racists by wearing it?
@sadgator you paying attention? These are your people, how many times have you swooned over Pelosi? Remember when you claimed 'he had to know the history of the saying' when Trump said when the looting starts the shooting starts?
Same applies to your girl Pelosi then. She HAD to know what that represented, and that she was glorifying slave trading by wearing it.
You still voting for these people in November?
I'm confused. I thought the lefties frowned on cultural appropriation. #liberalprivilege

Note no dem will touch this thread. The dem party IS the party of racism. It was in 1820, it was in 1920, it is in 2020.
Most countries over the centuries have determined it was completely unjust. Nothingburger.
Africa has endorsed slavery since the old testament but America is the only country vilified for it?
