Very true but he was bot the lead recruiter on any of our remaining top targets. Both RB and TE are signed at this point
Good guy, very good rb coach, great recruiter, need the next coach to be a great recruiter more than anything else

This has been in the works for some time. I think that is pretty obvious based on how quickly Larry Scott was named to the UF staff.
Was this the plan all along? Was he just retained long enough to locate a Mullen guy without disrupting the recruiting leading up to and through the early signing day or was there a falling out?

The guys on Gator Sports talk at 5 talked about how the Scott hire was a great one. They didn't understand how many fans were very upset about losing Seider. He's been at UF less than a year and while a great guy with a good personality and a reputation as a solid recruiter, he was not a good fit as a TE coach. He was not happy Mullen hired Knox to coach RB's and had been looking for another job with Mullen's knowledge. Mullen had contacted Scott to gauge his interest before Seider left and was able to bring him in almost immediately. Scott is, also, from South Florida, has a much longer proven track record of recruiting and will fit right in on this Gator staff. I think Seider is happy, Mullen, is happy, Scott is happy, and Gators should be happy.
I am not sure your guy is going to lose six games in a row this year. Even Jimbo did not do that. But it is certainly possible
