Does anybody know when his people are meeting with Florida this weekend?

I know that there hasn't been a whole lot of Buzz about Frost to Florida but at least they're meeting. There must be some interest.

Don't know how true either "Tweet" is, but this is what has been posted:

Ryan Bass @Ry_Bass
Source tells @juanctoribio and myself #UCF’s Scott Frost was offered and turned down the #Gators job this morning, which is why they pivoted to Dan Mullen.

Scott Frost went back and forth on meeting with Florida this weekend; ultimately decided not to pursue the job.

We are officially the joke of college football now with how all this stuff has went down and who we are ending up with. Foley had more sense than to let it get out there you were rejected but I guess Stricklin doesn't even have as much sense as Foley about the optics of things.

So you would rather Zook and Mac be our ADs top choice than to at least go all in on trying to get Chip?

I am not leaving Stricklin blameless, but damn, at least he swung for the fences

I would rather have an AD that had some sense. Putting that Frost stuff out there after the Kelly debacle was grade school level stuff.

I'm guessing you have amnesia of how the Ron Zook hiring went down?:p

Never as good as we think, never as bad as we think. Most of the college football world doesn't GAS about the Florida gators. Only the most rapid fans will rag on us or even know about what has gone on with our coaching search. They are more concerned with their own lives and own colleges. Give Mullen a chance. We've hit so many home runs with other coaching hires, we're about due to get one right with the football program.

My guess is once we lost out on Chip, mullen was the next man up.
Nope, we got rejected twice. Feels like the AD got ahead of himself and then scrambled for Mullen when Frost said no. $7+ mil a year is a lot for a guy who has a losing record in the SEC as a coach and his only success as a coordinator was with Time Tebow

He actually won a national championship as an OC with Chris Leak as the starting QB.

Did you watch the game? TT played quite a bit
Yes Tebow did but we don’t win the national championship without Chris Leak. Leak was the starting QB the entire year. Tebow wasn’t ready to start as a true freshmen.

Mullen can certainly develop QBs (Josh Harris, Alex Smith, Tim Tebow, Dak Prescott & Nick Fitzgerald)

Franks?

In the 1/8/07 title game, Florida's offense ran 80 plays. Tebow threw 1 pass in the game, completing it for a 1 yard touchdown to Andre Caldwell with .23 left in the 2nd quarter. He ran the ball 10 times for 39 yards, including a 1 yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter. Chris Leak played the vast majority of that game, Tebow being primarily used in short yardage situations until the 4th quarter when he came in with the other back-ups to close out the game.

I saw this too. I also saw someone write that Tom Osborn called Frost early Sunday morning and said something to home like, 'Time to come home Scott.'

If he leaves UCF this year, it will only be to go to Nebraska. But make no mistake UCF fans, he WILL leave UCF soon.

the Nebraska side of this is really creepy. You guys have crazy fishbowl fans but Nebraska is treating Scott like he's still 18 years old

Mullen might not have been your first choice but he's going to do well. I'll take a coach who has a track record of developing QBs, plenty of teams have boat loads of talent that get wasted bc the QB position never improves

Yeah right...he chased Bob Stoops like a 8 year old boy chases a girl at recess on the schoolyard playground....every time.

His dumbass (football wise) should have gave Mullen the job over McEllowteeth back then and this wouldn't even be a discussion.

So we are officially the joke of cfb.

What's that make UT? They lost Mullen to us, got rejected by a commentator, and had state Congress reject their next hire.

UF did pretty good I'd say...swing for the fences and go after a playoff coach..ok, he wanted to live out west. Gauge interest in the up and comer a few miles south...ok he wanted to go home to his Alma mater and basically live out his dream. So next up was the man who was the OC the last time we had a great offense....the same guy who basically brought an agricultural school to his best heights ever.

Don’t forget Cam Newton......just sayin.
I’ve always said we win another NC if Newton could’ve behaved himself and stayed on the roster.

Nope. The boys in Tennessee have won the joke of the year. I hope they'll never find a coach there!
