We finally have some big men and Chiozza has gotten a lot better. I like some of these young bigs, Egbunu is really a presence and he can hit FT's too! He's like a coordinated Pat Young


That Allen kid has a nice shot and a quick release. This team has been fun to watch thus far and our only loss is to a very good Purdue team that just took it to Pitt tonight on the road.

The ceiling for this team looks to be very high. They still occasionally struggle on defense. We really miss the coaching of Pelphrey in that regard. And consistent outside shooting has eluded the team. But we have a very strong inside game and seem to be good on the boards.

I am still mystified why Hill starts in lieu of Chiozza. But both seem to get similar minutes, so maybe it does not matter.

Love the energy of this team and the best inside game we've had in years. I still have my doubts about point guard and overall consistent shooting from the outside. The next 3 games will tell a lot about how good this team really is - Miami, Michigan St., Oklahoma St. Win 2 of those and we could have a really good year.

MichSt's 'officials' fouled out our center (5 fouls in just 7 minutes) to insure that they won. They probably would have won anyway, but the crappy officiating (foul calls) make me want to just turn it off and read the box scores later. I thought that coach White was going to bite his tongue off in the post game interview when that came up...

Call the game tight, or call it loose, but DAMMIT, CALL IT EQUAL....
