Incompletely healed hamstrings are easy to reinjure, and often get worse.

We aren't beating Bama next week. We aren't losing to Tenn the week after. Kentucky is the game after that, but that's three weeks away from today. If it's a slight pull he should be ok by then. If he isn't then we take our chances with Jones against the Cats. Heck, Vandy is the week after that. Hold him out until LSU if the hammy needs that much rest. If we can go into LSU with only the Bama loss, and we have a fully healthy Richardson, I think the second half of the year will set up very nicely.

Some may disagree, but that's far better than a season where AR only plays in a couple of games because we keep rushing him back before the hammy is healed and he keeps reinjuring it, or worse, it becomes a chronic condition and he has to battle it the rest of his career.

I think it just depends on how bad the injury is. Some are saying he just cramped up. Others are saying a slight hammy strain. I have heard that he’s had nagging hammy injuries since he has been at UF. Typically 6’4 240 lb guys aren’t sprinting 50-70 yard TD runs very often and that could be part of the problem, especially when he comes in and out of the game and his body warms up and then cools down multiple times a game.
