RATS block Senate Chinese Virus bill

Maybe they were confused because they called it the China virus.
But aren't virtually every pandemic named for the location from where they started? No sane American believes the Chinese people are responsible for this. Should the Chinese government be held accountable and if so, how do we or the world do it?
Personally I don't like the China virus. I like Wuhan virus sort of like Hong Kong flu in the '60s.

I don’t really care what they call it. Personally, I think it should be called the Shanghai Shivers.

BTW this is the same playbook they used in trying to block the tax cuts: They always say they blocked it cause a penny would have gone to a business. The reality is they know that tax cuts and stimulus plans such as those being considered immediately HELP Americans, and they don't want that happening while a Republican is president.

This is not about helping you, this is about them helping themselves. Remind us of the Obama Flu stimulus packages that Republicans killed?

What’s the rush. Nancy wants to know what’s in it first before she votes,

Just thought I’d share, since I’m sure you all don’t know about this Trump slush fund the Pubs tried to sneak in.

So the plan provided cash money for Americans that needed it most, and dems blocked it.

Of course they did.

And as for that 'slush fund' are you talking about how Trump didn't want money to go to businesses that would take the money and do stock buybacks? And how he wanted the money to go back into their businesses?

Yeah I can see how dems would want that blocked as well.

Sheep hoodwinked again.

A senior Democratic aide said other major problems include:

  • No money for state and local governments
  • No additional Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funds, also referred to as food stamps
  • No Occupational Safety and Health Administration language to protect workers
  • No expanded emergency leave provisions
  • Only three months on unemployment insurance -- Democrats say it's an insufficient length given the scope of the crisis
  • No money to help with the treatment of the uninsured
  • Does not provide adequate relief for the 44 million federal student loan borrowers
  • Language says corporations must keep employees "to the extent possible" which means they can keep bailout money and still fire workers

I sent Trump an email suggesting that he veto any bill that is back-packed with socialist garbage. No bill is better than letting the Dim-Moe-Rats load it up with their chit that wouldn't pass any other way...
You realize the entire bill is socialist “garbage”, don’t you? I assume you will be sending your check back to the government as a form of protest, won’t you?

Oh look, @BSC911, I was dead-ass right once again:

This is what happens when you educate yourself and think critically. I keep hoping to get through to you, but no luck.

Mitt Romney, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Bush Boyz,
Richard Milhouse Nixon.
Nuff Said! and the indoctrinated sheep think that the
pubes will save us from the AOC's of the world. Lol,
Republicans can't stomach a good fight nor do they have
the backbone.
Hey, NAIL, do that rooster strut dance for me that you do!

I’m still not sure if I’m in line to get a check or not. I think my income might be just over the threshold.

A lot of other people undoubtedly need the money worse than I do, but I’m still at the point with one kid in college with another to follow that I’m in no position to turn down cash if someone’s going to give it to me.

Or.... maybe I could donate it back to the government to help pay down the deficit.
I certainly don’t have any problem with people in need getting help. It just irks me when the same people who complain about socialism are first in line to get their piece. Let’s face it, a big part of our economy is socialist, from our public universities, to farmer subsidies, to corporate welfare, to Medicare and Social Security. It’s only a problem until it’s their time to get them some.
