FSU running back Cam Akers took the direct snap from the four-yard line as time expired. Akers tried to get to the boundary side of the field, but was met by a wall of UVA defenders.

It wasnt a bad play call....it was that our entire line thought we were spiking so they didnt block. Watch the replay...they just stood there

Well they should have spiked. I was shocked they didn’t so they could regroup on the sidelines and come up with a good final play.

Objectively, the clock operator really did screw them there on the first down stoppage. If they try to spike it, the time probably would have expired.

By the time we snapped there was 1 second. There should have been 7. I rewatched it today. We got screwed on the clock.

This is huge and can’t be underestimated. I’ve had a lot of terrible bosses over the years, and the worst ones I have had are the ones who will let people who work under them take the heat from people up the ladder. That’s cowardly and self serving, and it pretty much guaranteed that no one who works for you will respect you. That’s why, when I’ve managed people, if someone on the team drops the ball, I take the heat and say we’ll get if fixed, then handle it from within. Willie is showing his weakness and cowardice, which means he really is a nole
