Question for the internet doctors here: What's the main criteria for a vaccine being granted EUA?

Because I just saw a clip from Joe Rogan's podcast where he was speaking to a doctor who said the main criteria is that there cannot be ANOTHER VIABLE TREATMENT.

Then the demonizing of HCQ was cited. Apparently, if HCQ had been used and accepted as a treatment for covid, the current crop of vaccines could not win EUA.

@Uniformed_ReRe have you figured out who the diabolical ones really are?

So no comment from the internet doctors here? Safe to assume none of you knew the EUA requirements?

That seems like something all of you SHOULD know. This is why it's so hard for us to believe anything you say. None of you have really shared anything medical, at best we've heard sob stories about how covid is affecting your patients.

And those could be completely made up. It's quite easy to pose as someone or something you aren't on the internet. Right, @BSC911?

It’s like Doc trying to tell everyone that the only thing the FDA is waiting on for full approval is shelf life, when really he has no clue what ALL they are doing.
FDA approval requires listing the known and possible side affects. Surprised he doesn't know that either.

Not a quote, more like a paraphrase

Won't concede the vaccine could have had any role in a bad outcome when someone mentions it here, and there's no credibility to the only dataset we have.
Well he's the same one that thinks the Republican party needs to drop its stance against abortion to attract more voters. Nothing more needs be said.
