Question for old-timers

As far as I can tell, the old GatorBait moved to Rivals in 2002. Anyone remember the situation before that? Was GatorBait its own site or on another network?

I can tell this.

In the late 90's early 00's. There were two rivals.com Gator boards. Gator Country was a rivals board in 99 as was The Swamp.com. Rivals had a quick shutdown and reboot. Those two sites went independent. I believe The Swamp.com finally shut down. Gator Country is still rolling like always.

As far as Gator Bait, Marty and Laura Coehen were married at the time. They started off as a magazine. If I remember correctly they had an independent message board and then moved to Rivals after GC and The Swamp moved to independent during the reboot.

I used to receive that magazine, paid extra when I was transferred to Puerto Rico in 1992 for three years just to ensure I'd get it. Always looked forward to Fridays delivery date, only direct Gator news I could get. Wow, times have changed.

Always liked the newspaper. When they went to a glossy magazine format, it just wasn't the same.
