I sincerely hope administration does not mind me posting this here but I think it’s important.
We are seeing a tremendous surge in Covid activity again. Currently I cover a 550 bed hospital with 74 intensive care beds. These are numbers as of this morning:
100 admitted COVID19 patients
9 boarding in ER
All elective surgeries canceled
14 on life-support
94% unvaccinated
PLEASE be careful out there. Avoid exposure if you can avoid large groups if you can practice safe social mitigation. Ensure all proper hygiene techniques such as handwashing. I suspect this surge will last for a month or two.
If you have not received the vaccine and you have the opportunity I do recommend it. But you should check with your local doctor or nurse if you have questions or concerns.
Do not listen to the news for your medical information, all new sources at present are pretty far off between what their reporting and reality related to almost everything about coronavirus.
