I am upset about the last two weeks of course, but this team did Gator Nation proud. Mullen promised to instill life back into this program, he has delivered. Considering the hole he started off in, I think he has done a tremendous job. We lost to the best team in America, but our guys never quit. Next year let's cut out mental errors. Who knows how good we can be. Thanks for this season guys.

Congrats to Bama.

Never ever want to be one of those moral victory types, or one of the teams that lives for that kind of thing, but it's odd how one can feel rather good after the way we played in the championship game, despite the outcome. We walked into that game knowing how badly we played the previous two weeks, collapsing to garbage Tennessee in the 2nd half and then letting almost just as garbage LSU beat us at home on senior night breaking our 12 game home winning streak. Just about everyone had us pegged to get blown out by Bama at that point, including most every Florida fan.

To me it seems we are the only team that didn't just roll over and die on Bama the way they want you to and expect you to. How many teams scored only in single digits to them all year long and we gave them an actual contest, literally if not for bad clock management at the end of both halves, we might have possibly pulled out that upset.

Despite being a 3 loss team right now, I think we represented the East well and the SEC. Gave the country an actual contest to watch not a blowout. It's hard to imagine a 3 loss team staying in the top 10, and I don't expect that but how we played against #1 should go a long way for our final season ranking.

Defense is pretty soft right now but certainly can't complain about the offensive fireworks this season with the passing game.

Of no real importance, just some random observations....

UA 63 - 48 Miss -15
UF 51 - 35 Miss -16

UA 41 - 24 UG -17
UF 44 - 28 UG -16

UA 52 - 24 aTm -28
UA 52 - 46 UF ~ -6
=====

1st Half - UF 17 - 35 UA (+18)
2nd Half - UF 29 - 17 UA (-12)
Game - UF 46 - 52 UA (+6)
(UF entered the game as a 17 point dog)

The Gators lost 3 games by a total of 12 points, with all 3 games coming down to the last possession.
The Bama DC held the AP's #11 team to 46 points.
The Gator DC held the AP's #1 team to 52 points.
Looks like Saban should be firing his crappy incompetent DC this week..... 😏

Win the bowl game and the season is progress.

Lose the bowl, lose the last 3 games, and finish 8-4 and this is a Zook type season.

The team under Mullen is way better than under Muschamp or McElwain. The swagger is back and we're in the conversation as one of the best teams in the country. The offense is fun again and we definitely are making progress. However, it was lack of discipline and dumb mistakes that cost us all 3 close games. Yes, we lost 3 games by a total of 12 points. Great teams figure out ways to win those games and we're not there yet. I'm a Gator lover, not a hater. Just telling it like I see it. How we do vs. Oklahoma depends on if any more key players opt out and what happens to both teams in regards to Covid testing between now and then. Oklahoma hasn't seen an offense like ours, but they are young, hungry and skilled on both sides of the ball. I love the match-up and can't wait to see how next year's team comes together. Always a Gator fan, no matter the weather, but like Queen sang, "I Want It All!"

If true, what a great chance to sneak a peak at what Jones will bring to the table in 2021.
Yeah I think Mullen will be able to do a lot with his skill set. Like others have said, it isn't the offense we are worried about. We need to be able to stop the other guys. Oklahoma will certainly put up some points on us.
