I think DeLance got dinged because that RS Freshman quick DE Rossou they have got around him really quick a few times putting Franks on the move.

I also think Burney doesn't have a good feel for his position right now.

To what do you attribute the low grades of your CB's

The penalties and not getting targeted much did that I think. It evens out over a season with those positions. Our safeties without Stewart aren't that good.

Greenard was good. He’s the transfer, correct?

Shitty tackling.

It’s one of those things that seem to always pop up week 1 because not many teams hit as much during camps anymore.
Really? In Athens Kirby's practices are designed to be very competitive. Players compete on a daily basis for PT. Depth creates an intense atmosphere. The mentality is for the games to be easier than our practices.

How has Kirby ever lost a game as a head coach? Guy is obviously the greatest coach of all time....by the way, the Ivy league schools don't do live hitting in practice any more and that is where football is headed. Even Saban said he does about 50% less hitting in practice.

I’m talking generally. It isn’t a coach thing, it’s a regulations thing. Like for example you can’t even have real two a days anymore, it’s outlawed. Your first few days in camp have to be in shells, etc. On the whole teams don’t hit as much as they use to anymore. Throw in the stupid targeting penalty and tackling is worse than it’s ever been.

The word is, due to depth issues at DB, Coach Gray pulled back on the practices to minimize injury risk. He did give 'em hell though. It is also suspected the guys were trying a bit hard(too emotional) due to their Miami ties for several of them..

He should practice calling timeout when he rolls out a stupidly obvious fake punt against a base defense with the SEC title on the line.

thanks, we'll pass it on, that's really a novel idea ...Kirby is going to be pissed you let out your team's secret
