Okay this is going to be a somewhat positive post, so if that’s not what you want to see you can stop reading now.
Some of you need to realize that this is a rebuilding process. If you though we were going to come in and sign the #1 class this year you have some unreasonable expectations. The fact of the matter is that over the past few years this team was run into the ground. You don’t just hop back up to the top in one season. Everyone got all excited and developed all of these expectations when we overachieved this season. We should have been a 7 or 8 win team this season and we blew past that. When that occurred everyone thought we were headed to the playoffs and we were going to sign the #1 class, but that was not going to happen. Due we have some holes on the staff that need to be filled? Yes we do, but we also landed some very nice pieces in this class. We signed a top 5 QB that we flipped from LSU. We signed two very good RBs. We signed what some may consider to be the top WR in this class along with three other very good WRs. We signed one of the best DEs in this class and maybe the top WDE. We signed a couple of good LBs. We signed what seems to be an outstanding K. Yes there are some holes in the class, but we are putting the pieces together to build a very strong team. Let’s see what these kids can do and look forward to next year.
