Certainly not a fan of what was going on up there, but the cheating going on during "Saint" Bobby's tenure led to a comprtitive advantage, the PSU situation did not.

PSU's advantage was that by covering up child-rape, they avoided the death penalty and were allowed to continue PLAYING FOOTBALL.

Million times worse than cheating on a test...

Congrats to coach Paterno. Other than his tolerance for child rape, a hell of a guy and a heck of a football coach.

I wonder what % of people would have handled things differently than Paterno. Sandusky put him in a very bad position.

Says the fan of the school that is currently synonymous with the phrase "cover up."

The most wins record in college football is kinda like the MLB Homerun record now. It is so tainted, it feels shameful to even discuss it.

TPD and FSU have been covering up FSU "student"-athletes' crimes for years to help then maintain eligibility.

sadgator has long been one of my favorite posters. This backhanded insult of Barry Bonds makes me question those feelings.

It's not a backhanded insult, it's a statement of fact. 61 and 715 were sacred numbers, probably identifiable to most sports fans, not just baseball fans. Now I bet 8 out of 10 baseball fans couldn't tell you the single season (73, I think) and career (756?) Home run records.

I never considered him not the all time winningest coach of all time.

Congrats to those who let the NCAA erase memory.
