Basically did, when Tennessee senator said he was a member of the gator hater club. Really didn't mean to be political thread, just proud of a super impressive Gator! Especially a female Gator.

Sorry for being naive. I really didn't see it going this way. My 14 year old daughter is home sick and watched Pam be an assertive intelligent and amazing woman on TV and simply said, "Dad, I am going to do all I can do to be as successful as her some day."
Just proud of her and the example she is for everyone watching especially young girls.

That's funny because I didn't see it going any other way. That said, the post was not overtly political and certainly has a place on the board as it regards a gator alum. But it also does belong in the parking lot since it does not involve gator sports and the discussions going back-and-forth are better served in the parking lot ...
That said and via an earlier post in thread we get littered with non-sports related threads all the time, dinner venues, hotel recommendations, golf courses, endless and aimless commentary on many topics

You can hop off the soapbox, you did absolutely nothing wrong. These times are highly politicized and we have the mainstream media to thank for that I believe it is their intent to keep us at each other's throats, that way we don't see the big stuff going on behind the scenes.
The bottom line is that today, especially with social media, our views, and our views of each other are a little tainted.
And if you'd like to discuss them, the parking lot is as good a place as any ...

But I can promise you I didnt post about how proud I am of a strong Gator woman alumni for the opportunity to express some view I have. I literally got caught up in the moment of sharing pride with my daughter and casually posted it somewhere that I have casually posted things hundreds of times while sitting on the shitter!
I don't think any thinking person is questioning your motives. They seem very pristine and in keeping with trying to encourage your daughter to seek out positive role models.
My only issue with your post that I responded to was your definitive ultimatum that you will never praise anyone again that you are proud of. That seems a little extreme to me. And again, you did absolutely nothing wrong.
