To me its a very simple formula....Eat meat, fruit,veggies and nuts with occasional potato and sweet potato. Avoid processed food, especially whte sugar and high fructose corn syrup at all costs. If it roams the farmers pasture or the hunters forest, or grows from the garden....eat it.....everything else spit it out

yes, the balance is important as is the quality of the meat. whole foods are good....

I try to convince my extended family ( city slickers ) to buy a big deep freezer and start buying a side of beef fresh from a local farm. They choose to buy it one sirloin at the time from the grocer. The first time I put local fresh grown veggies, beef, chicken etc in my mouth, there was no going back
