I am deeply troubled by our inability to recruit OL. We only recruited 2 OL last recruiting cycle, one of which is already gone. We are having trouble getting commitments from Barnes, Montilus and NPF plus might lose Gouraige. Now we do have 2 early enrollees plus Delance and we are also recruiting a center that Dan was recruiting for Miss. State so all is not lost but man it certainly would be nice to keep Gouraige and also Montilus and Barnes. I have kinda given up on NPF.

Yeah I'm probably overreacting but we have not exactly been signing up a lot of quality OL lately.Doom,,, Dispair,,,, Pain & Ag-Go-Knee.....------ NSD
We have two OL already on campus from this class. Gouraige is committed though still a battle. We are considered the favorite to land NPF and should receive a committment soon from Interior lineman Griffin McDowell. I am not sure your beef? If we don’t wiff on both NPF and Goiraige we end up with a decent OL class for a transition class. Do not pile 3 years of Mac incompetence onto Mullen. We are doing very well with the hand we were dealt
Agree. Let's see how the O-line looks after signing day. Mullen is busting his tail to turn this class from a mediocre transition class to a really good one.
It's not Mullen's fault obviously but the issue is we kinda have to have a sick OL class this year to not be f*cked in 2019. We only signed 2 OL last year and one of them is already gone. Next year we lose Ivey, Johnson, and Taylor might leave with a good year. Then guys like Jordan, Harkless, and McCoy will be seniors. So whoever we sign this year will be the backbone of our line going into 2019. We got the butter toothed clown to thank for that.
I agree but Mullen is a JuCo master too. Issues from Mac will haunt us for a while but I think Mullen is doing a nice job fixing it with given limitations. NPF is a homerun if we can grab him.
I agree fellas. Keeping who we have and adding two more would be a coup considering where we were. Oline will still struggle for another year or two though most likely, unfortunately. We're gonna have to be patient.
McDowell is a project that will be serviceable. But his ceiling is limited. There is a reason we didn't offer until late. (Probably not getting Barnes)

They got the Big Mac, I got the Big Mick. We both got two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame seeds. My buns have no seeds.
