May play in the playoffs. I think A.B. is safe. No word on Evans, Leonard Fournette or Lavonte David yet. I had him on my fantasy team.

My above post is now wrong. ESPN has updated Godwin's status to what Michigator said.

Was Godwin a Gator at one time? Why is he mentioned on a Florida Gators forum?

He did label it OT

and I am sure some Gators fans probably actually cheer for the Bucs
After last night's performance by the Bucs you might want to root for someone else. First time Tom has been shut out at home in 254 games. Kyle Trask wasnt even active last night.

Just too many injuries this year. The NFC is really tough this year and the Packers will have home field advantage. I love Brady and the Bucs, but with Godwin out and so many other guys have been playing hurt, it's going to be really hard for them to repeat.

The home field has yet to be determined. Still a lot of football to be played.

Well, I was born in Buffalo, and moved to Tampa in '73. Last 25 years have been in Jax. So I went from Bills to Bucs to Jags. It hasn't been pretty.
We lived in Jax from 1975-1980, then in Clay County near Middleburg from 1980-1998. Was there when they were wooing the Colts to move there and then for the Jags in their early days. Always hated the Dolphins because when they first started as a franchise and were terrible, in the days of only 1 or 2 televised games per week, they force-fed Dolphin games on Florida when I was a fan of the Baltimore Colts and used to get to see them a lot more before Miami got a franchise. Have been a fan of the Bucs since they started as well and have always been a Tom Brady fan.

The Packers have essentially a 2 game lead on the Bucs with 3 games to play since the Packers hold the tie-breaker advantage. The Packers have the Browns and Vikings at home then finish up at Detroit. The Bucs have a home & away with the Panthers with a game at the Jets in between. Just don't see a 2 game swing possible with those schedules. Basically, I see Tampa battling the Cowboys, Cardinals and Rams for the 2 & 3 seeds, meaning they won't get a 1st round bye and more opportunity to rest their banged up roster. I know last year they went in as a wild card and had to play 3 straight road games to get to the Super Bowl. But they were healthy and playing great ball down the stretch. This year just looks and feels totally different. Will be pulling for them, though.

However, the Pack are 11-3 and the Bucs, Cardinals, and Cowboys are all 10-4. Pack may hold the tiebreaker on the Bucs straight up, but who knows how many teams might end up tied at the top? Or which ones? Could totally change the tiebreaker scenario. A 3 or 4-way tie would be fascinating, as a team could have the best record in the league, not get a bye and only host one playoff game.

True, but the Packers are definitely in the driver's seat for the #1 seed. In fact, the Cowboys are now the #2 seed based on their tie-breaker over the Bucs. Cowboys & Cardinals meet in 2 weeks and that will affect seedings, too. Here's the projected 1st round based on where seedings stand today. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/standings/playoffrace/

The NFL is very unpredictable and anything can happen. But from what I've been seeing, the Packers have been playing the most consistent ball, the Cowboys are winning in spite of mediocre offense of late, the 49'ers are improving and the Cardinals & Bucs are slumping a little. The Bucs should win their last 3 games, though, and maybe get some of their injured and banged up key players back for the playoffs and go on a run no matter what their seeding. I don't bet on sports, but if I did I would be putting my money on the Packers to be in the Super Bowl. After being upset at home last year in the NFC title game, Aaron Rodgers and company are on a mission this year.

The Bucs were a wild card team last year weren’t they?
