I agree MJ, but Nord has so much less influence on the program than Nuss. In two years he hasn't put an O in the top 100. I mean I am really beginning to like Mac but you can tie youraelf to a guy who has produced such poor results. This scares me to think Mac did this

Not when it comes to payout time. Could have avoided giving Nuss that extra year salary OCs get when they are cut usually or at least kept it at a smaller salary payout. I doubt anyone would be coming for him as an OC with 4 straight years of disasters if we don't turn that around.
I just hate the fact someone that has put that product out there gets a big raise like that when he will be fired if it happens again this year. At least wait until the season is progressing to see what happens.

I really don't think he has a choice. Its why I think its funny that people think there is some hidden agenda in the QB battle. Mac needs two things: an offense to produce and a big win. No way he isn't going all i. To beat Michigan. His grace period is over, he knows this could put us on the next level
Conversely, if we get our doors blown off by Michigan, the heat is gonna go from mild to ghost pepper in a flash...
sad - let me know when you see something that makes you think Steve is involved in the offensive game planning. Through two years all I have seen is an offense that makes a coach calling the Wing-T look creative.
I think all the UF Coaches deserves the raises now thinking about. They said they would get us back to Atlanta and they did. Now, win in Atlanta and win a National Championship and extend and increase their pay more.
Part of me feels like his horribleness has to be overhyped. How in the world does a guy get the gigs he gets if he's that bad. That said, he got run out of Bama and Michigan, and his offense with Gardner at qb was an atrocity.

The coaching profession is a fraternity. Just look at the NFL...the same coaches get fired and rehired over and over. They had to put in place the Rooney Rule just to make sure different people at least got a chance to interview. Same thing happens in college...a coach gets fired then drops down to a lower level, rebrands himself, then gets another gig. If he does well the second time he might even get a better gig than he had before, if he fails he just drops down a level again and restarts the process.
How do you overhype that his last four years include getting canned by Saban and then 3 straight offenses ranked in the 100s at major schools with talent FAR better than 100+ other teams. And while here his offense actually got WORSE even with Luke "I know the 2-page playbook" Del Rio. If anything the awfulness in under-hyped
