who keep trying to cut off Reagans third leg of his stool:

Never been on board with making Rubin a prominent figure.

I solidly oppose gay marriage and acceptance as normal. I am all for tolerance. There is a difference. IOW exercise your 4th amendment right to keep it in your bedroom.

DC - so a question for you. I ask openly.

If you had a neighbor (and yes, it is somewhat rare) who was pro-free market, fiscal discipline, strong borders, strong police, not part of the progressive LGTBQ+ cohort or policy, paid his taxes, had (for what you could see) a loving relationship,, kept up their yard, no disturbances, contributed to the neighborhood and community but happened to be gay, happened to be in a monogamous relationship with another man and happened to adopt, say, a black child who was not aborted but given up for adoption, and invested in that child's education and well being, would you encourage him to vote R, or cast him out and consider him unacceptable.

Note that he does not need to go to your church, and you only need to be generally polite and friendly..

I waited to give DC a chance to reply before adding this.

Personally, I could care less what party your hypothetical person voted for.

But if he's a practicing homosexual, God says that's sinning. Same thing with abortion, it's murder, and God is against murdering babies.

What Christians need to stop doing is trying to change biblical teachings to fit their current political views.

That's putting your politics over God, and no one should have to be told that's wrong.

LOL the guy you describe is already voting republican.

I would already be polite and friendly. I just would not be pushing him into GOP leadership or running for mayor.

To me I have to draw a line and defend it. I can't idly sit by while babies are aborted each day. I don't want any sexual sin being modeled in the home. If a couple is living together and raising a child that is just as bad. We are essentially telling children that all sins are okay as long as we don't commit crimes against the community.
