Northern Colorado cancelled

MOVE IT TO FRIDAY.

Is this seriously 3 out of the last 4 years we have a game that just never happens?

We are cursed. Between injuries, suspensions and game cancelations we can't catch any breaks.

Do people really care about this? If this was a conference game or something I'd be pissed but who cares about playing Northern Colorado? Conditions would likely suck which means increased chance of injury for a meaningless game. Wouldn't serve any purpose other than to stat pad. Plus we can focus more on UT now.

What a god damn joke, why even play the ****ing sport anymore... Every god damn year, but they make SURE and God damn well we play the LSU's in their own domain. So sick and tired of all this shit every god damn year we lose a game because of this bullshit

not having that game before tennessee, expect more of the same embarrassing crock of shit from the team...

Major storm coming in and MSU#'s is off the rails. Figures.

yea, sorry i must be the only one tired of hurricanes and shitty football..

don't let fsu numbers call you a liberal deliberately

The worst part of a hurricane is in the NE part. The lower winds and lesser storm surge are on the west side. The farther to the west Irma moves, the more dangerous it becomes to mainland Florida. The best of a worst case scenario would be that it turn north a little quicker and the eye skirts the east coast of Florida, leaving all the state on the west side of the storm. It's double the size of Andrew, which destroyed south Florida in 1992. See link: https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs...s-hurricane-irma-compared-to-hurricane-andrew

I live in Ocala, one of the historically safer parts of Florida for hurricanes and we're expecting 75-85 mph winds and 6-10 inches of rain. And we'll have it easy compared to folks south of us. The Keys and South Florida, plus most of the east coast of Florida, are going to getting slammed. Pray for us all, you Gators who live elsewhere.

Since the storm will be traveling north, I think the worst part will be the east. Basically, the worst part of a hurricane is wherever the winds are parallel to the forward movement of the storm because the forward movement adds to the wind.

Obviously, the best case scenario would be for it to stay just off the east coast. I think the second best scenario would be for it to keep tracking west. That way the brunt of the storm hits the everglades, instead of Miami, and gives those gators, water moccasins, and panthers a little excitement.

Florida apparently gave some consideration to playing the game in Auburn. Even spoke with officials at Auburn about it, and they were willing to let it happen since Auburn plays at Clemson this Saturday. I know Florida International and Georgia Southern are playing two separate opponents in Birmingham this weekend in unscheduled games

A little more job security for McElwain.

We've lost 3 games in 4 years, figure after tickets. parking and concessions that's 4 mil a game, for a 12 million dollar budget hole. Tough enough to come up with 15 million to buy out a coaching staff, but factoring in the 12 mil lost, it becomes damn near impossible.

Didn't think about it that way. We gotta find a way to play this game then. :D

Katrina changed how we do a lot of things. Some (not all) are still irate that LSU kept playing like nothing happened. Same goes for Tulane.

I will say, has there ever been a hurricane of this magnitude?

Is it really worth it? That much more ground traffic, air traffic, etc? Keeping emergency personal on our clock while they need to be preparing for this. This isn't an example of a firefighter showing up for his normal routine. Life will not end by not playing this game. This hurricane will definitely end lives.... unfortunately. Why even worry about. Sure $____fill in the blank million won't be made...but bet that figure will be a million times higher in damages.

Isn't this type of thing already covered by insurance?

This may be a good thing. We have an inept Offensive Line, an OC that is pathetic, a Head Coach that is more intrigued about the opponents Running Back than his own during the game and at half time on live TV. Can we add any more crap to the list?
