So how will it improve? You do realize Mullen is a horrible recruiter don't you? Check the rankings - his classes are consistently in the 30-40 range nationally. How would you feel if an all-American receiver who will be NFL 1st rd pick in a few yrs came out of Gainesville High and your Gator coach could not get him to go to UF but instead he went to FSU? Well, this is exactly what happened with AJ Brown. He's from Starkville but Dan is such a terrible recruiter that Dan lost him to Ole Miss. And that's State's biggest weakness. Whether it's because he's lazy, doesn't like recruiting, or is just plain not good at it, or maybe it's because Starkville is such a sh***hole, who knows. But we've had a big enough sample size by now and it's clear the man just can't recruit. He's the king of the 3*. Good luck beating Saban with 3*s. Congrats on getting his recruiting staff on board in Gainesville LOL.

Ralph Webb who is Vandy’s career rushing leader, went to HS in Gainesville and wasn’t even offered by Florida. It happens.
Freeze was signing everybody the year AJ graduated. It’s not as if Mulllen didn’t try. You do realize that the coach can’t force a kid to come to their school, right? Maybe his pension plan at State just wasn’t as good as he was given at ole miss.
If you read back in Lee’s twitter feed...beyond the fact that she is cute as hell...there is a real honest and genuine energy,
happiness, and family/community vibe to what they had at MSU.
We so desperately need that here at Florida.
We are so lucky that Mullen is here, and we all just need to welcome everyone that comes with him and embrace the positive light they are going to shine into what has been a dark place for FAR too long.

Florida is the "premier" program in Florida. Florida is not a place you have to recruit to really hard. He can walk his dog and run into four and five star recruits. Now imagine what this " trash" recruiter did in getting your pups to #1 in the country with his coaching acumen. Muschamp was a good recruiter here as was Zook, McElwain got a five star QB from California.
Congrats on the Moorhead hire, he seems like a good fit.

As far as recruiting goes, he can find and develop QB's and Florida is not a hard place to recruit elite speed athletes to. The one question will be the same question I ask every year. Are we getting enough beef on the lines? If he can find O and D linemen, everything else will fall into place.
As far as gameday, he calls a good offense. If Grantham gets after it on defense, we will be a perennial Top 10 team.
He knows how to recruit. Is he elite, we will see. But right now he is getting his OL and DL in order as well as his bigger outside WR his offense needs. He is smart, he knows the speed guys that play inside WR are easiest to find in Fla. he added a huge OT so far, offered a bigger TE and looked at a massive JuCo DT to play NT and fill one of the positions Mac recruited most poorly.
