Gecko why would you want a Florida team out? Always go for your state’s team over out of state teams unless of courseif your FSU then yea vote them out…lol
The only real question is who goes out of OSU and Bama if OSU beats Wisconsin. I say they choose OSU because they will have the only big win out of the two against Wisconsin and their next 2 biggest wins are also better than Bama's. This is not the same situation as last year where OSU clearly had the edge in everything except not having the conference championship with regards to Penn State. Bama picked a bad year to have a loss with the SEC really being down and FSU being trash this year.

For the people that want an eight game playoff system, most of the conference championships can be viewed as quarterfinal games
I am still an advocate for 6 conferecne champions and 2 wildcards to make the playoffs.
it'll happen eventually, I think.

We can argue the 6th conference and how to do the wildcards...no matter what I put as the 6th conference, someone will complain and be a twat about it.
It does mean something its just Penn State had the extra loss and the worse resume overall to OSU. No chance OSU goes over them if they both had 1 loss.
Nope Penn State had 2 losses while OSU had one but they did have the argument of the head to head win and the conference championship. I think the committee unlike that old BCS system does take the conference championship into account but you are definitely at risk of being left out if someone has fewer losses and more good wins than you.
I am not a huge fan of expanding the play off. But whoever thought a 4 team playoff would work with 5 power conferences was just dense
