NCAA Cancels ALL Winter & Spring Sports Championships

No - Read the 2nd link. They have cancelled all NCAA tournaments for basketball, lacrosse, softball and baseball. Seems highly extreme, but that's the decision.
I get a lot of the self policing etc...even keeping fans out of the stands. But some of this seems WAY overboard.
So FSU loses probably the best chance they will ever have to win a basketball title, and Florida loses a decent shot at their second baseball title.
Softball, men's tennis, men's indoor and outdoor track along with baseball all had shots at nattys.
True, it probably was. We have a very good, very deep team in a season without a truly dominant team.
What a depressing couple of days. I feel like I have the damn virus, even though I have no physical symptoms - only mental & emotional ones. Oh, and financial.
Yes it may have kept UF from winning a national title or two. It is what it is.

No reason whatsoever to cancel spring practice as long as precautions are taken but watch them do it to please the PC brigade.
So kids sweating and hugging for 2-3 hours slinging sweat all over each other equals no risk of spreading coronavirus whatsoever?
If that's true then we've all been had. Well those of us that are buying into the 'worldwide health crisis' nonsense.
It's almost certainly going to be cancelled, I'm surprised it hasn't been already.
While this hurts everybody, I believe it hurts us less than our rivals. LSU and UGa are breaking in new QB's, and FSU is breaking in new everything. It won't matter in our games against them, but it could make a difference in their early games.
I would say that if some of our players don't go pro, Vassel and Patrick Williams especially, they could be a top 5 team next year, but they probably will go pro.
Really sucks for teams like Dayton who will never have a team like they have this year ever again.
It's BS exaggerated except for old people with bad health conditions. SARS was much worse than this and they took some precautions but nothing like this and let it mostly die out in the summer months. The flu has helped kill off like 25k people here in the US this flu season who had health issues. This stuff doesn't even affect most people like the flu. Some things should be done but this has turned into overkill. Old people with health conditions should take the main precautions with family and at nursing homes etc.
Nothing better to do since I can't go to sports or go to any public places. Might as well stay in my woods and keep the sour mash running.
