NBA then announces that they have agreed (with who?) to come back and finish season but ONLY if they can put an even bigger spotlight on their lefty propaganda.

Which is what drove everyone away to begin with. I think everyone knows what the reaction will be.

So here's what's going to happen: Teams in all sports will continue to cancel practice and likely games and maybe even seasons due to.......racism from white people.

The hope is that they can just bombard the nation with this message, and that it will STICK TO TRUMP. Dems hope they can then position it as "If you want to get rid of the HUGE RACISM PROBLEM in this country, and you want to see us play sports again, then VOTE FOR JOE BIDEN'S HUSBAND, JOE BIDEN!

TNT's average viewership is down 40% since 2011-12. While ESPN’s viewership is down about 20% in that same time frame. "Ratings disaster of a season, with the NBA’s most-watched game of last week trailing golf, NASCAR and wrestling." Who cares?

I watched enough replays of Gator football, basketball and baseball games since spring.

I'm actually waiting for the 3rd season of Cobra Kai. I also hear Netflix, not YouTube, will carry the 3rd season. I was sad to see "Get him a body bag" guy died of cancer in the 2nd season of Cobra Kai. He actually passed away shortly after the release of season 2.

No joke. We actually watched a movie last night that was much more entertaining than any NBA or NFL game:

Well I think media in general is in for major changes.

Last night, I watched Star Trek TOS , Buck Rogers and several episodes of Supernatural season 1. The first two were OTA on MeTV. My wife signed up for a paranormal writing class and watching supernatural is part of the course. LOL Surprisingly I liked it as when it was on OTA it looked a little too low budget for me and I assumed it would be boring since it was OTA.

Its on Netflix.

I have a Roku and have the following free apps plutoTV, Hoopla (via local library),cw seed, roku channel, vudu (mix of free and premium content), and youtube. I watch bitchute on my laptop.

I have blaze TV and its a paid sub . Its a bit pricey considering I only watch Deace, Crowder and Levin and only occasionally. Its hard to watch anything informational these days for more than 10-15 mins. (youtube effect) I run many shows at 1.75x or even 2x if I can still understand the speech. These guys bloviate too much...LOL so I say as I write a manuscript for this post

I have several other free apps but most are "low rent content."

I will have Blaze, Netflix and Diz+ as my only paid apps in the future. Those 3 would be about $25/mo right now. Diz was prepaid for 3 years

I have more content than I can watch. If I am really bored I can watch OTA shows from my youth.

In the future the plan is to watch sports at a local establishment carrying my game.

TLDR: too much quality free content on the interwez via Roku or your laptop to continue to pay for cable. Netflix low cost monthly model will take over paid content.

ESPN is owned by Disney who has deep pockets. Disney has supported the money losing Longhorn Network for is it eight years now? It looks like LHN will be a 15 year boondoggle before Disney is off the hook. Then it could become the Big 12 Channel. ESPN has been losing money for a few years now. Cord cutters and now ESPN politics.

Hubris is ESPNs problem. When Sling was $20/mo Espn was charging $8 per house. Sling is now $30/mo base. How much of that is ESPN? Content creators and providers are going to continue to price themselves out of customers.

One day as they crumble they will be a la cart and people like me will either watch at a sports bar or just carry them during FB season.

This is a result of lack of ACTUAL parental guidance and letting spoiled brat kids turn into spoiled brat adults, and we are now exacerbating the problem by continuing to let these brats throw temper tantrums. We have truly lost our way as a society. Good news....I haven't watched one damn game.

TV Ratings Tank For The NBA Finals. The Numbers Are Absolutely Brutal

There’s literally no way to spin this in favor of the NBA. There’s no way anyone on the planet can make these numbers appear positive.

People literally didn’t care at all about game one, and it featured LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

When you have LeBron James and the Lakers in the NBA Finals and the ratings tank, then you have a major problem on your hands if you’re the NBA.

When LeBron can’t get people interested, then I’m not sure who can.

There are probably a lot of reasons why the ratings are down, but we all know people are tired of the nonstop politicization of sports.

The games aren’t about winning or losing anymore. They’re about lecturing regular Americans about why we’re all terrible people.

There's a much better chance the NFL, MLB, and NHL will recover from low ratings. The NBA? When Lebendover for China James is retired, there are no other stars who will draw anymore fan interest the way Dr J, Bird, Magic. and Jordan did.
