Most underrated movie

Fifth Element - quirky
Eating Raoul - a cult film that is an acquired taste :) The hot tub swinger scene is hilarious!
Idiocracy - prophetic
Where the Lilies Bloom - mountain folk always warms my heart.
Songcatcher- Ditto with Emmy Rossum
Big Jake - my fave western

The Fifth Element is a cult classic.

I'm going with In the Mouth of Madness or Event Horizon.
Saw Event Horizon. Good.
Will need to check out Mouth of Madness... See reviews saying it was inspired by Lovecraft ...I did like The Dunwich Horror

BTW, the discussions on this board about who will win the 2024 elections reminds me of this scene from Moneyball:

Beane: "Guys, you're just talking. La la la la la, like this is business as usual. And it's not."

Scout: "We're trying to solve a problem here."

Beane: "Not like this you're not. You're not even looking at the problem."

Scout: "We're very aware of the problem..."

Beane: "Ok, good. What's the problem?"

You guys think the problem is we need to move on from Trump and get a guy in there that has the good policies of Trump, without all the perceived baggage.

We can't fix the problem until we all understand what the problem actually is.

Two more if you like Lovecraft and insane plot twists.

Reap (2020)
And if you can find it
From the Dark (2009)

And for some slow paced yet equally satisfying horror a gem from our northern neighbors, Hunter Hunter (2020)

A sobbing white woman who always denied her mother saying, "I killed my mother!", as the horse drawn hearse pulled away transporting her black mother to the grave site in the remake of Immitation of Life.
