As one of the kids said, "It was a professional decision" to attend IMG. Therefore, these kids should be ruled ineligible for college athletics, because of undo benefits. I most certainly agree no state funds should go to support this private enterprise. At least the state’s athletic authority had the sense to exclude them from the state championship playoffs. Everyone seems to be ignoring the “elephant in the room”. The sports management arm of IMG is one of the biggest sports talent agencies in the world. IMG represents some of the most recognizable figures in sports, especially football i.e. Cam Newton, Victor Cruz, John Madden and many more. This seems more like an eventual “pipeline” of clients than just a high school/sports academy. These kids are basically semi-pros... “FOLLOW THE MONEY…!”
