They’re worse off than we ever were. To have a losing record in the acc, ever, is damn near impossible, and the only thing keeping them from a losing record two years in a row is a missed xp by Louisiana-Monroe. At least when we lost to ga southern we had suffered a freakish umber of injuries and were playing a walk on at qb. (That’s not an excuse. We should never have lost that game) They almost lost to a directional Louisiana at full strength in what was supposed to be a cupcake after their national showcase against Boise st. That’s the only thing giving them a pathetic bowl bid in the worst power 5 conference in the country, and in a down year. There was literally one good team and that’s it. We have had bad teams but at least even muschamp and mcelwain beat Tennessee and Kentucky. Those wins are better than anything they’ve done since jimbo went to a superior program. They are a different situation bc they have always cheated and taken the easy way out, and now that lack of an actual infrastructure on which to build a program doesn’t exist. When your “success” is mainly due to a cowardly coach who chooses to go to a weak conference as a shortcut to a shot at national prominence, it’s a joke to say you have any kind of winning tradition or backbone to build on. It fell in their direction for way too long, and now the chickens are coming home to roost. Good! They deserve this and it’s impossible for them to have anything too bad happen. When they are wiped off the earth and remembered as the taliban of college football, that will be a start.
