When the Gators take the practice fields Wednesday, it’ll be the first time Florida’s 12 early enrollees get a taste of the spring football grind.

It’ll be a bit of a different scene than last spring, when UF entered with just two early enrollees – wide receiver Kalif Jackson and tight end Daniel Imatorbhebhe. The latter ended up transferring in May 2015 to USC.

There will be plenty of new faces out there from his 2016 recruiting class, and that’s not even including Purdue graduate transfer quarterback Austin Appleby, who joined the team in January.

Safe to say, Florida head coach Jim McElwain is excited to see what his new additions will bring to the table this spring.
