Looks like Trask, Jones, Lawrence and Fields

Can all collectively kiss the Heisman goodbye.
JT Daniels is starting at QB for UGa this week.

Smart is in a no-win situation here.

If Daniels is a bum, fans will ask why their team, with 8 QB's in the building, can't find one that can play. If he's good, then fans will complain about why he wasn't inserted against UF.

I disagree with this commentary dude. Trask’s arm strength isn’t average but his execution on deep throws is inconsistent. I don’t think he trusts himself on deep throws.

I thought we got up pretty well considering who we’re playing, the crowd (or lack there of) and the early start.
I was talking about Trask Chris Leaking a 1/2 yard short of the first down.

Pissed me off, heat of the moment. Get every yard you can in those situations. He made up for it. He played well and later ran well when his number was called.

Really looked to me like he slid right at the yard line, but got spotted a half yard back.

I'm ok with him sliding there. It wasn't a key moment in the game, and the last thing we want is some Vandy guy taking his head off. Already had Georgia trade a safety for a 1/2 of a game for taking Pitts out for 2 1/2 games, don't want the same thing happening to Trask.

Fields had a bad day - three interceptions in one game.
Indiana could not capitalize on any of those turnovers thanks to OSU's defense.
Despite Indiana's own turnovers (?4), OSU managed to win only 35-28.

We'll soon see what the implications of all that means - i.e, poll rankings this weeks, Heisman voting, etc.

At that moment it was a critical situation we needed TOP and points but being a good team that we are with good RBs we picked up the 1st down the next play.

I think it is down to Trask & Mac Jones. Lawrence isn’t going to get enough games IMO.

I'm sure Lawrence cares more about his hair than he does winning the Heisman.

I wouldn't be surprised if he came back for his last season. Who the hell wants to play for the Jets?

On the list of things that matter to the iG are these.

Playing seniority (today) over younger talent (future), while voiding having the best 11 on the field. Seniority has it's place, but not over the good of the TEAM.

Not letting individual player awards interfere with the development of the TEAM. Kyle passed for 3 TD's, while Emory threw for another, breaking Kyle's streak of consecutive games with 4 passing TD's.

Also not letting the 'media-moron Polls' interfere with the TEAM's goals. Getting the full team some playing experience is more important than running up big numbers with the starters.
==========

7. VU - Passing Defense Yards per Game = 257.8 Yds/Gm
Trask 26 of 35 (74.3%) for 383 Yds, 3 TD's, 0 Ints.

Kyle's numbers would have been better (30 of 35 85.7%) except for the 4 drops, one each by Grimes Sr, Copeland rsSo, Zipperer So, and Henderson Fr.

Kyle completed passes to 9 different receivers while missing 2 receivers that are injured out, TE Pitts and WR Whittlemore. If the Heisman voters or the media-morons want to diss on Kyle, then they're more WRONG than is usual for them imoho..

The Gator's being loaded with 'Play-makers' is not what is making Kyle so efficient. Dan's offense and Kyle's exceptional use of it, is what's making the 'play-makers'. Losing Pitts and Whittemore and still performing shows that imo. (RG Reese and MLB Houston were also out for VU

"I thought if Kyle went 26 of 35 for 383 and 3 TD's with no interceptions against a team that was 100% stop the pass first today and that’s pretty darn good performance against that type of look,”
said Mullen.

Lastly, Matt Jones is playing behind a mostly 5-Star OL, with a 5 star RB. Gives him a serious advantage over Kyle I'd say, that has nothing to do with their individual QB abilities... (
similar to Fields situation at tOSU)

Yeah, no way he comes back. If he doesn't want to play for the Jets, he'd be better off pulling a John Elway.
