Look for this guy to be new WR coach

That looks like it would be a solid hire. Former recruiting Co. with WR coaching experience.

He was added to the Ducks' coaching staff on Jan. 28, 2013 as the program's passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach and continued the transformation of Oregon's receiving corps' mindset with an aggression that emphasizes attacking the football in addition to being crucial to the success of its running game.

Lubick came to Eugene following three seasons in a similar capacity while also serving as recruiting coordinator at Duke University, culminating his tenure there by being named the nation's 2012 Wide Receivers Coach of the Year by FootballScoop.com.

A former Pac-10 assistant at Arizona State and Oregon State who also has drawn from his ties in the ACC, SEC and Mountain West conferences, inherited a group of veteran receivers but played a major role in elevating their talents to a new level. He assumes a lot of the credit for the Ducks' Josh Huff and Bralon Addison emerging as the school's best receiving tandem in a decade, with Huff's numbers (62 catches, 1,140 yards, 12 TDs) surpassing a 33-year-old school record for receiving yards and equaling the mark for most scoring catches in one year.

I like that he is aggressive, and once again, another strong recruiter....good things to come!

Lubick is a beast if we get him, seriously. We'd be hard pressed to do better as a WR coach, that guy is a future coordinator.

Any one of the 3 of Groh, Napier and Lubick would be a home run hire for UF as a WR coach. Although I like Groh and Lubick more than Napier, because Groh and Lubick I believe are better developers of talent. All 3 can recruit with the best of them.

Meh. Put a competent passing game on the field and recruiting takes care of itself. We have the best skill players in the country in our backyard, they'll come if we win.

The vast majority of our new staff are all bug recruiting guys.

A lot of them in Florida, but there's talent on the west coast.

More importantly, I think it would be nice to have a WR coach that actually coaches routes and such for the first time in a decade.

How many guys on Urban Meyer's initial staff at UF had Florida connections? 2? Strong and Holiday. If you put a staff together that are good recruiters and you win then recruits are going to come. A good recruiter can recruit anywhere.

We need a group of coaches who can take back the state in recruiting and expand to different parts of the country.

Michi would have issues with Groh as a WR coach because he's been in the NFL a few years.

Maybe we need to ask Harbaugh who to hire

Well, currently our top in-state recruit is #83 in the state, Tyler Jordan. Smong the teams with higher ranked players in state are FAU, USF, UCF, Wake Forest and many others. Not sure when this went so wrong, but fixing it should be a priority.

C'mon, Michi, really?

Then why did you start a thread telling us to look out for him as our next WR coach?

You've really been striking out on this one.

You have been told?

You mean you have read it like the rest of us.
I think Paco should go back to vague, cryptic announcements, then when an actual name is officially confirmed, he can quote that post and say "yep," as if he really knew it all along and was waiting for us simpletons to figure it out on our own.

I'm hearing it will be a highly thought of guy as the DC
For the unfamiliar with the ways of Paco, here's a classic quote of his concerning the new DC search. Note the vagueness combined with total obviousness.

Wait, you mean Florida would likely attempt to hire a highly thought of DC rather than one people think sucks? I don't believe it.

of course, he never said his name or hinted at anything about him, but you can be sure that as soon as the announcement was made, Paco quickly patted himself on the back and reminded everybody that his "source" was correct.

This is a classic tactic by our resident "insider," especially when it comes to recruiting.

So so my friends, let this thread forever be an example of the fraud that is Paco.

In fairness we did hire Nuss, and its widely believed he sux.

I think we should go with a young guy...late 20s maybe...has experience playing and coaching in the SEC.

Bears fan would be a bonus.
