Lol Callaway failed a drug test AT THE COMBINE

Idiot. I wonder if that sex offender he was running around with at UF did things to him.

Despite all the previous stuff, most scouts were grading him in the 2nd round because he's so immensely talented.

But when you can't lay off of whatever it is you're not supposed to be doing before the combine drug test, you're an idiot.

It was a diluted sample so obviously he tried to cover it up.

I honestly think the guy has some type of learning disability or diluted (no pun intended) mindset.

Chance after chance and he always finds a way to piss it away. -pun intended

What? A college age kid smokes pot? Why I never heard of such a thing. Guys, in 5-10 years it will be legal everywhere and we are ruining peoples lives for a harmless substance that is a million times safer than alcohol, which is perfectly legal. What a system.

Easily the dumbest player to ever come through here. My man got accused of sexual harassment, his defense was he was too high to remember. You'd think that would straighten him out? Nah he goes on to fail more drug tests and ultimately gets suspended. Then he somehow fails another test after that, gets another chance on the team, then had the credit card stuff and gets kicked off.

So then you have scouts saying he'd be an early round talent without his off field issues and what does he do? Go to the combine high. Dumbass. He doesn't deserve another chance.

When you're told not to do something, especially for a job that pays you millions, and you do it anyway, you're an idiot and irresponsible.

That's the whole point.

I agree, but the thing with Callaway is the fact that he knows the rules/laws and he cannot control himself enough to stay out of trouble, even now with his future on the line.

This kid is a train wreck and I wouldn’t touch him with a 10 foot pole if I was an NFL GM.

""...harmless substance that is a million times safer than alcohol...""

Wow...sounds wonderful.

Well I guess I might have exaggerated a bit. According to the CDC alcohol only kills 88,000 Americans per year while there has never been a documented case of overdose death from pot. So if we look at it over a 10-year period, pot is only 880,000 times safer than alcohol, but that is less than 1-million, so I exaggerated a bit.

How about opioids? 64,000 Americans lose their life a year, so over a 10-year period pot is 640,000 times safer than what the doctors and dealers at CVS are dishing out, but this is the substance we have chosen to single out and ruin peoples lives over. I may be wrong, but the tone of your post seemed to indicate you have doubts about pot, but as a doctor I bet a week doesn't go by where you don't write a script for opioids.

From personal experience, I can attest to the FACT that pot IS a miracle drug, and far, FAR superior to opioids, at least in the treatment of nerve pain. I am a lucky member of the FBSS club, which stands for failed back surgery syndrome. As a doctor you know there is actually a medical name for FBSS and it is arachnoiditis, but no doctor will diagnose this because if you look it up you see that 8 of the 10 things that cause it are medical procedures, so we just get FBSS as a diagnosis as a doctor will never admit that they actually did "do some harm".

After 4 major surgeries on my back (that made it progressively worse) and 1 knee replacement I spent almost 5-years addicted to opioids. Started with low doses of vicoden and progressed to the highest dose of oxycontin. A little over 3-years ago I dropped CVS as my drug dealer and switched to pot. It has changed my life and made it worth living again. The effect is immediate, it doesn't put you in a stupor like the contin twins do and it has none of the debilitating side effects of the opioids. It has literally changed my life along with millions of other patients. I can't speak to the oils and reconstituted crap that is currently legal in Florida, but it it's original bud, smokeable form it truly is a miracle drug (or wonderful if you prefer), at least for my condition.

Having said all of that, this kid is monumentally stupid. With a multi-million contract out there I just don't understand how he could be so stupid as to fail a drug test, especially when you know it is coming up. It is the easiest test in the world to "pass" if you have $80, or only $25 if you have advance notice. So for that alone, he does deserve the stupid label.

The true dangers of pot aren't the issue. The issue is not having the discipline to step away from it for a while when your future is at stake. Callaway can't stay out of trouble. He's like Winston except UF wouldn't let him on the field.

Nice.

Poor decision making to be sure. But how many more careers are going to be derailed by this asinine policy against pot? It is not a performance enhancing drug unless you're at a Dorito eating contest. This guy is an idiot yes but I feel bad for him that he will potentially lose millions for no good reason.

At first I thought you were ignorant. Perhaps you are just too stubborn for your own good.

The point is you have no right to make the weed decision for me or Calloway.

Cue the "because they didn't want Black men influencing good white women to screw them under the influence of weed and dilute the pure white population and honor of their whiteness" argument.
