I am about to get a direct hit from Hurricane Ian in the next couple of hours.

Maximum sustained winds are 155 and he's moving into Sanibel Island as I type this.

He's expected to hit me here in SE Cape Coral at around 11:30 or 12:00 pm, we're still teetering on whether we will actually get the eye or wind up embedded within the eastern eyewall for about 2 to 3 hours. Storm surge is also a huge complication but I think we will be ok with that

Either way it's going to be a ride I didn't necessarily sign up for nor am I looking forward to it.

If and when the power goes out it could be up to 2 weeks, depending on the damage, before it gets restored.
If you hear from me before then it's most likely because I will be on my office's computer.

Anyway, we're hunkered down. Got plenty of beer and food and the shutters have been deployed so we will be doing as best as we can.
