Libs have been AWOL the last 48 hours

The trade deal with China, how does that compare to where we stood with our trade deals with China before we started putting tariffs on them? Honest question looking to be educated here.
Good question. According to Grok, US imposed roughly 19% tariff on Chinese goods prior to 2025, and China imposed 21% on US goods.

One of the largest WINS for us IF China lives up to it is that they will start importing stuff from us instead of it being one sided.

They are in mourning. They hate him so much. Such non serious, childish people. Truly impossible for them to try to claim they are REAL Americans. Americans are happy when things go great for the USA.
The strategy of villainizing anyone can backfire and we're seeing that now. When you do that, you have to take the contrarian view of everything he does because "orange man" is evil. So now we see him addressing all of the 70/30 and 80/20 issues Americans wanted dealt with but you have to oppose him because you painted yourself in that corner. It's seriously stupid what they've done to themselves.

I have some Libs in the family on my wife's side and they don't think anything all the way through. When you let emotions control you, where you end up is oftentimes somewhere foolish.

Good post and so true. We all have libs in our circle/family. (although where I live there are not very many, Thank God)

The couple of older ones don't realize that the party has become Communist and merely take that side out of habit. The couple of younger ones have just "self-indoctrinated" by listening to nothing but NPR and watching MSNBC and CNN. They're extremely ignorant of most issues because they won't allow themselves to hear any opposing views.

It's why I call them libtards. They have purposefully retarded their information access and thwarted any critical thinking in the process on virtually all issues. They are utterly terrified of hearing anything that may make them question their own world view. It's incredibly bizarre.

If they can put their politics aside and focus on what's best for their family and country, they will love it.
Look, you know that's not going to happen. Whatever Trump does, they stand opposed to it.

If you were looking for critical thought that has yet to be in evidence in ANY given situation regarding President Donald J Trump ...

Yeah, well Cucky has been AWOL since his stupid ass Groper Joe thread got locked, and remember the time he looked down on military vets receiving pensions and social security, but he never looked down on people who are on/abusing welfare and food stamps? Which means @BSC911 is on welfare and food stamps.

I’ll check in. It’s been a great few weeks for Trump and really at this point a very positive start to his presidency.

How much of this will play out as far as: reshoring manufacturing, reducing debt, modernizing our military remains to be seen. But everything happening now is pretty positive and I admit I underestimated his ability to pull some of this off.

He is a master of establishing a narrative.

We were getting our asses kicked by the Houthis, but now Trump is a peacemaker and opened the Red Sea by “breaking from Israel.”

We look tough on China irrespective of what comes out of it.

He signed a deal for a billion acres of scrub brush in Ukraine and now he’s the peacemaker there.

He’s going to bring down prescription costs (unless the dems intervene on behalf of insurers and PBMs).

I thought someone, or maybe everyone collectively, would try to hang him out, but everyone is falling in line.

This sounds like backhanded praise but it isn’t. The narrative is the whole thing. The narrative moves markets and money and can become a self fulfilling prophecy. Plus he was handed a crap hand to play and within 4 months he has re- established US primacy.

MBS was driving him around in a golf cart today. People are lining up because they know he wants to do business. He’s not hamstrung by a bunch of politically correct bs.

Hell you had Starmer yesterday saying the UK is destroying its national identity with immigration after 2 years of driving that train.

One thing I will say is he is lucky to have Bessent, who is a genius. And to Trump’s credit it’s not an ego thing he lets him do his thing. And Bessent couldn’t operate as effectively without Trump setting the stage.

So no problem admitting that I was wrong and Trump is killing it on the global stage. Obviously a long way to go, but it’s night and day between his administration and the Dems.

Bradly...this is just a lie, man. How many of our military personel have we lost? How many have they lost? The houthis are tough fighters, but 100% incapable of kicking our azzes. Did they quit firing at our ships? Watching gas prices drop like the rest of us?THE END

Rest of your post pretty spot on...no denying Trumps ability to present things with incredible spin, and it DOES help.

Most of this is accurate.
1) You don’t know there aren’t precious resources in Ukraine, and neither do they. The geological information we have is 60 years old.
2) The Houthi’s caved.

As far as the Houthis, it’s been reported everywhere that we were using a ton of ordinance, I believe I saw $10 billion, in missiles, drones and planes, to very little effect. I believe we reported 650 Houthi casualties for the entire campaign, so tally up what we launched and spent and lost as far as assets (3 F-18s and 10+ reaper drones lost that we know about) and if that sounds like the US was kicking Houthi ass, then more power to you.

The numbers are everywhere, figure out for yourself if we were kicking ass or cutting losses.

Trump basically said as much when he called it off.

Only bean counters determine win loss by assets spent.

The rest of us use combat casualties.

You know that Isis runs Syria now right?

You seem like a really nice guy...But what does money spent have ANYTHING to do with who wins? May be the dumbest thing I have read(unless you care to enlighten me...and I WILL apoligize if it makes sense)

Wars are won by who QUITS first..or when everyone on one side dies. THEY screamed UNCLE...pleas ego ahead and explain how WE LOST?? I am kind of thinking you are trolling here? I am a American war historian(hobbie) and not one time in my life has ANYONE used how much you spend on deciding who won a war. Let me ask you. Did the Soviets lose in Afghanistan because they spent more money...or was it because they were getting all their people killed for a decade, and their people grew tired of it? Same question with Vietnam for us!

No.....No I would have to say since Trump shook the leader of Syria's hand yesterday in Saudi Arabia...I did not know that! LOLOLOL Seriously....QUIT watching CNN and MSNBC. You post some of the most outrageous chit I have ever seen.

Concerning ISIS...they were DONE in 2017. IF they came back at all....guess who let them? (hint: he chit his pants at the Vatican in front of the Pope)

You saw $1B, not $10B.

But that, nor the causalities, matter as long as our ships can get through and we stop spending money on missiles.

And it's not an either or - we could have kicked their ass and ALSO decided it wasn't worth our blood and treasure to open lanes for Israel. Let them fight their own battles. One of the things I like about Trump is he isn't the world's police force. It's America first.

If we weren't inflicting pain why would they agree to let us pass?

Money and resources don’t have anything to do with who wins wars. Interesting, you’re right I didn’t know that.
They have no bearing on victory, no.

Generally the army with the best tech spends a lot more.

That's like saying because of the cost of the Manhattan project, the Empire of Japan actually won the war.
