The QB position at UF has become cursed since the departure of Tim Tebow and that coach who I refuse to name because he took us to the top and then left. I really thought we had something when Grier destroyed Ole Miss last year but then the curse reared its ugly head again. We have all seen what limitations and option Del Rio gives us and unfortunately he has regressed. The most valuable attributes of any great QB is poise and accuracy. Del Rio displays neither. Appleby was good in high school and then went to Purdue and became turnover prone due to the fact they were always playing from behind. This years first half in Knoxville looks like an outlier at this point. The Vandy game was mediocre and the play was below average for a former Elite 11 QB and highly rated recruit in 2011. My opinion is that Trask is the future until Franks matures some more in the pocket. Kyle Trask looks very comfortable back there in the pocket and players on the team say he throws the best balls. What better way to attract recruits than to show them the future of the Florida Gators!! Franks and Trask should be in competition because they will be here for years to come! This is just my opinion and I would appreciate anyone else's point of view as well on the matter.
