Seems like he pulled a Muschamp-like Driscoll/Brissett mistake by choosing Fromm over Fields. Fromm was terrible today and South Carolina's defense pretty much dominated the game. They will be fired up at home for the Gators next Saturday, but with a 3rd string QB, don;t see how they can score on our defense.

It’s actually a good point. Maybe Smart isn’t that great of a recruiter. He’s just benefiting from the resources at his disposal. I think UGA admin knows he can’t coach so they knows he needs all the players he can get.

I wouldn't say he can't coach. Tennessee's clown in charge is the standing definition of "cannot coach". Kirby is still a first time head coach and even in year 3, he is learning each and every day something new about being the head guy in charge. That takes time. Mistakes are going to be made. Will Muschamp is a MUCH better team manager now than he was when he took on Florida's job. He spent 4 years learning the job here at UF and the point was made quite clearly that top tier SEC schools should not be lowering themselves to being the places that first time head coaches "learn on the job." UGLY failed to take that lesson into account and is still paying for it, despite having one of the highest recruiting budgets in the sport right now.
