Kiffin and Houston

We can hire Kelly after next year. I doubt SF keeps him around more than another year.

Won't hurt Bama any. That's why they brought in Sarkisian as an 'analyst' so he could step right in when Kiffin left. And Sarkisian is actually a better playcaller than Kiffin.

wouldn't matter if he was a good play caller at all, he will be claimed as COY candidate next year. Saban is so money ready that their program brings in former big time head coaches as the next rebound date sitting around in the closet waiting to be worn for the next dance when the other prom ends.. It's hilarious how made everything is for that program... we have literally nothing in comparison

He'll probably hire Strong to coach d-backs, just to be a prick.

Can you blame coaches though? Most AD's are simpletons, they don't realize it's the man at the top that's responsible for the success. They think picking an assistant off his staff can get them the same results. It's a lot like the dummies who keep hiring Belicheck assistants thinking they're gonna get Belicheck results. If you're an assistant coach and go to Bama you'll have the best talent in the country to work with to put up big results and in a year or two some AD trying to replicate that success is gonna come calling.

Danny made a good point about this, when people were bitching about hiring another Sabanite. Basically, he was pointing out that Mac spent like two years out of a 30-year career, coaching for Saban. Hilarious that ADs, and fans, think that a few years under Saban is going to turn someone into the next Saban. On the flip side, you wonder if some Saban assistants drink the Kool-Aid themselves and think they've discovered the magic formula, without crediting the fact that they're rolling out an NFL farm team every week.

That too, it's all related. Some of the assistants go to other places and take the 'process' with them and fail because they forget the most important part of the process is to overwhelm other teams with talent. If you pay attention to a lot of the NFL draft stuff you'll see where over the years scouts have called their systems simplistic, they really don't do a lot scheme wise. Their offensive scheme was a running joke for years. Saban is starting to adapt on both sides of the ball though and they now do a lot more with Kiffin and Pruitt. But before then they basically just rolled the ball out.

BUT, Mac was hired largely based on those few years under Saban. We aren't hiring a 10-3 CSU coach if not for the Bama tie

I don't want Satan or his coaches. If I was going to try and do it the Bama way, then I'd like those Teflon GoB's that can do what they do,,,, and not get caught while doing it. That's the true secret to Bama's success. They've cheated for so long, and they've learned from their many past mistakes, so now they can buy anyone that they have to without worry. Some recruits will come just to get in on the free rings. The ones that demand pay can also be taken care of with no problems. Let the system roll.... o_O

Or not. Houston just Kiffened Lane, and announced that instead of him they're promoting Applewhite.

I was just thinking that it's amazing that UF has had the run of bad offense that it has had without Major Applewhite being involved in any way.

Now he will end up at LSU, shit

It just doesn't make one ounce of sense for him to make that move.

He's on the verge of back-to-back titles and has a freshman dual threat QB that he can turn into a total legend and run rough shod over the sec for another year or two, probably add another title to his credit, and wait until whatever job he DAMNED well pleased opens up.

Taking the OC job at LSU is a downgrade.

Not to mention, didn't he just get a big pay raise this year?

Kiffin makes $1.5 million and Orgeron makes $3.5

Just saying.

Kiffin would definitely get nice offers if he gave LSU a passing attack next season but it would be taking a risk going there.
