Offensive coordinator. NOW!!! WTF???? JU wants to be a lawn chair, watch flag football program with a picnic basket with no stadium seats? Crazy. Nuts. He would be a great addition to this staff as offensive coordinator. Don't blow this one Mac.
He is apparently very content at JU.
Yes, but for readers here not obsessively monitoring ESPN radio or t.v., that nugget of news appeared on ITG only in a single terse reply on the 4th page of the rambling and overly broad "Official Coaching Change Thread":What planet is your bottle on tonight Danny.?
JU fired [himKerwin] after a 9-2 season.
Some of us actually have local news instead of a battlestar gallactica or 24/7 twitter. And here in central Florida, e.g., sports-news attention is now divided between the UCF incoming football coaching staffs and the bleepin' Orlando Magic, with maybe a little left for the Gators' SEC CG in Atlanta.
JU recently had some violations in football. Not sure what but maybe that was a factor.
JU's response was that Kerwin wants the school to eventually become a football program that offers scholarships. The AD says they are committed to being a non-scholarship FCS school for the forseeable future.
Local news reported that they didn't even talk to him about this issue before releasing him, just called him into the office and said thanks and goodbye.

Which follows the vulgar-but-widespread rule "ifit bleedsit's 'must-see' video, it leads". So, e.g., apartment-complex fires or balcony collapses in places that're far outta state outlast the alleged 24-hour limit on stories. If Kerwin had pulled out a gun and shot whoever told him that he would no longer be employed by JU, we'd be hearing, seeing, and reading news reports about him for many months to come.
A lot of the rest of the local reporting, notably even on an allegedly conservative local radio station that promotes itself with the blurb "the 3 things you need to know", often presents celebrity cr@p instead of worthwhile news.
