This is a meaningless game whose outcome will have no impact on what our 2016 season will look like. This staff and team have far exceeded expectations this season and should be congratulated for such. Mcelwain's impact in year one has been significant and will be more so seen on signing day. The deadwood (fish), transfers in, and early entries will no longer impact the program. Moving forward, this program will more greatly reflect the foundation and vision Jim McElwain has set out for the future and be ready for a run to a championship. Let's remember this one because in 20 months when we meet Michigan again to open the 2017 season, our team and program will look a lot different.
After signing day, approximately 58 of our 85 scholarship players will be mcelwain recruits. This will be a top 3 class if not #1. Year 2 is always a year under a new regime where the greatest leaps are made. I expect the same in 2016. UF has the only offensive minded coach in the division, the QB position will be inexperienced, but much more talented and deep. Players will develop under this staff and we have as much stability in the program since we have had since 2008. Defense will be good again. The future is very bright so erase this one and look forward to a great 2016. As always, it is great to be a Florida Gator.
