How can these Dim's believe that killing infants is humane or necessary? There are countless individuals wanting to adopt children of any race in the US. In fact, many are adopting African/Asian babies due to less hoops to jump through opposed to adopting US babies.
Same dems that voted against this bill rail against Trump for separating children from their mothers at the border.

There is nothing they won't do to regain power.
And there is nothing the Republicans won't do to keep it. Let's face it, Politics is a dirty business headed up by bad people with little concern for anyone other than themselves. JMO anyway.
Republicans don't care about keeping power, they mostly just care about keeping their jobs. That's why you always have RINOs like Collins and Murkowski voting with dems in opposition to their own party's supposed beliefs.
Most politicians have one basic belief: get elected (initially) and then focus on getting reelected and grow wealthier all in the process...easy, peasy
