Jon Jones' future in the Octagon has been subject to significant speculation in recent months, with the 37-year-old indicating on multiple occasions that he will soon step away from the sport.

A long-awaited clash with Miocic is expected to take place at the UFC's Madison Square Garden event later this year.

That showdown may prove to be the last, however, with Jones claiming he plans to retire at the end of 2024.

In a comment on Instagram, the two-weight world champion wrote: 'Fun fact: after this year Jon Jones will never have to work again, retired at age 37. Winning.

  • Tom Aspinall has repeatedly called for a title unification clash with the American.

Of course, Tom has because EVERYONE wants that HUGE payday to fight Jon Jones, but Jones can't keep fighting forever? The guy is 37 years old. I am glad he will handle Miocic and walk away as the GOAT. Thoughts?
