My friend I can almost guarantee you you could likely quote nothing from Lincoln that I don’t already know. I have studied that history from both sides of war extensively earlier in my life. Lincoln broke about 50 constitutional law points to entice that war to happen so he could conquer the south. He greatly redefined our nation from a state driven union to a federal government driven union. But outside you and me and a handful of other people, nobody in America cares to learn about that stuff which is why they’re able to divide and conquerYou'll care when I post some Lincoln quotes about the war tomorrow.

I would save the union, I would save it under the shortest way under the Constitution, I have not meant to leave anyone in doubt. The sooner the national authority can be restored, the nearer the Union will be "the Union as it was".
My paramount object in this struggle is to save the union, and is not either to save or destroy slavery.
If I could save the union without freeing any slaves, I would do it, and if I could save the union by freeing all the slaves, I would do it. If I could save the union by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would do it.

Lincoln was more than happy to compromise the slaves to keep the union together. Lincoln was also more than happy to compromise the constitution to entice a war to keep the union together.
If the south hadn't gone into that war half cocked, they would have had a navy fleet of armored gun boats, and eventually a truce struck. We'd be living in a different nation today, but the blockade eventually ended the rebellion. Slavery was on it's way out eventually anyway, and was just an excuse to prevent secession.
I think most people are comfortable around people that are similar in appearance. I have been to Country Clubs where there were many AA/Hispanic members and I felt out of place there until I was welcomed by my friend that invited me there. The end result was I enjoyed a nice round of golf and met some really nice people. That doesn't make me racist and it doesn't make them racist because very few Caucasians are members there.
