Is a "blast" the same thing as an "implosion?"

This is a weird dude. He comes in talking all this crap. It simply does not match up with the way he calls a game. Remember when we used to have all those stupid signs bouncing up and down on the sideline? Again, it doesn't match with a ball control, clock-eating offense, which is what he obviously prefers. And is his dog really named clairabelle? If so, then wtf?

I think this guy is borderline deranged and could end up running this program completely into the ditch.

Yep Mac said that a little after we heard Foley tell us that he heard us fans loud and clear and that Mac would be bringing the "offensive punch" back to Gainesville.

Not sure what has happened to him. He came in all arrogant acting and now he is so resigned to the crappy offense etc. its almost as if he is on some prescription drugs since he chewed out Taylor.

It's because all of that was make believe. To me those sideline signs are telling. The only reason people use them is to get the play called and the ball snapped as fast as possible. He obviously doesn't play that way. In fact he plays completely opposite. So why was he doing it? It's because he was just mimicking what he saw the cool coaches doing. He is a basket case.

The problem is some of you actually thought we were getting something other than his clock killing, no passing O he ran at Bama

Well the stuff at Colorado State was different that last season but the OC was running that from what I understand. I think Nuss is allowed to run this also but Mac approves of his crap I guess.

Mac isn't gonna just sit there for THREE years and watch his teams take beatings if he has something better in mind and wants to get his job done.. They are both what we see they are

Not to pile on, because sadgator is making an honest attempt to stay away from negativity this week and is trying to be uplifting,

BUT, If you heard Steve on the Mark Packer show today on ESPNU Sirius XM, he did not have a lot of positive to say about the state of our team/offense right now. He comes on every week. Generally he is very positive, but he really seemed to be bothered this week. When Packer asked him about the outlook for this week and the rest of the season for Florida, Steve basically conceded that Florida will have to essentially win ugly. He did not have any positive words to say about Mac or the offense. It was a bit unnerving if you read between the lines of his comments. If you haven't heard it, you can probably podcast it. Worth a listen.

He is in awe of what he's seeing, and needs to over step his line he's trying not too...

The f'in Field is named after him now. We can't STILL be this bad with his actually BACK at UF and on our pay roll football related. It's just insanity

I mean... it's year 3 and we still look like this. I came into the season with some optimism off the bowl game and recruiting class, but that Michigan game set off all the alarms. We cannot move the ball against anyone with half a defense. It looks to me like this guy doesn't know what he's doing.

Steve has probably tried to talk some shop with this guy and realized that he's a mental defective.

"I don’t want to get too negative, but the wildcat should not be an option in Gainesville. If Jim McElwain can teach his dog to play the position, as he claimed at his introductory news conference, he should be able to get some production out his pupils.

Then again, if the entire class is failing Statistics 101, maybe that’s a teaching problem."

BANG. BANG.

Head shots from all our own guys, what is it gonna take?

That was some ether there. And I cosign him in the wildcat I hate that damn formation. All you're doing is telling the defense for sure you're running, might as well run from a traditional formation where they might still have to guess. That's why I hope they move Toney to QB full time cause like i said a few weeks back once defenses catch on to that and the WR screens j have zero confidence they can find other creative ways to get him the ball. And whelp...

Steve was on "The First Team" again this morning.

He was very disappointed that we only scored 16 against LSU and seemed bewildered that we never put ourselves in a position to score in the 4th.

He started talking about how happy everyone at Florida was when he was as the coach in the 90's because of how much we scored back then and how unhappy everyone is now. It was a pretty ominous statement....and it's not like he is saying it will get any better. He just kind of left it hanging there.

Mac better get his shit in gear quick, because if the HBC is openly discussing how unhappy and disappointed everyone is, and he is the "ambassador" of the program, it is going to fuel the fire of discontent. It's gonna make it damn near impossible to turn it around.

sadgator is extremely anxious about what he is fixin' to witness this weekend.

SOS had a feeling Michigan was going to whip us in that first game. He knows this offense is in bad shape still.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I cannot believe the number of people, countless numbers on TOS, that still think Mac is watching this unravel but has some great offensive mind he isn’t unleashing. lol.

It would have taken place during the Treon experiment, at the very latest last year even with Appleby, an old veteran that's smart enough to do coordinate those things in the offense.

at this point im truly intrigued to see what the players offensive play books look like.. Because I still have one from one of the worst offenses in SEC History in my first collegiate year... and it was an entire west coast based passing attack, that worked at Bama under the same people in the 90's that called our plays in 2004, and even one of our TE coaches (freddie Kitchens) that was the QB in it and teaching it to us in the film room..

It's one thing to have bad systems and can only do so much with the players in it, and adapt. It's another to just have a bad strategy, and most importantly of all in football offensive, TIMING OF the ball plays you call... speaking of that, the king arguably ever of that, Spurrier knows so much he'll never say publicly and I can only imagine what he really thinks, or what he wants to do about it. At this point, I just pray that he even cares and isn't too old to. I've studied football like an archaeologist studies the mysteries of the universe with egyptian artifacts.. and the two best play callers I've seen in my studies of the sport to be the most like them and be a professional at what I do effectively, one of them is Spurrier.
