What happened? You did a LOT of talking before the game. But, I do hope U of FL does well in remaining games. You guys are young. I think they will do pretty well when everyone is back. Very glad you have Nussmeier and not us. Cheers.

Nuss may very well be the problem, but since I'm not in the meeting or the planning sessions, I don't know any details. The Mc-Nuss combo seemed to do pretty well at Bama, so some questions remain imo. I'd love to be that 'fly on the wall' for a couple of weeks though...

Actually, I did very little talking before the game, compared to others.
~ I made no score prediction, nor any claim that UF would win the game.
~ The Gator D did well enough, but again the game-planning, play calls, and the choices at QB seemed to kill them.

They played 14 freshmen in the game, but the roster choices could have been better at several positions . JMOHOs of course.... ;)

I posted this elsewhere, but I'll give it to you again so you don't have to go looking for it.

The game was never in doubt in the 2nd half. UM has outscored your offense 74-10 the last 2 games they have played. Since you are discounting the "lost cause endzone fumble", let's take away the 2 pick sixes that didn't really matter either. I guess if you take random points away, it makes you feel like it was closer than it really was.

You see, Insta will never make predictions. He will claim Florida will win anywhere between 6-12 games, every year. He then puffs his chest out, when they meet the 9-10 win mark, claiming to be a genius, but claiming he didn't think they were going to win every game and making excuses when they lose. He's your classic "talking out of both sides of your a** message board poster.

How did it feel, Insta, having Notre Dame's sloppy seconds, as your qb yesterday? I think you got a good idea as to why he ran scared from ND. He would have been ND's 3rd qb option, yet was thrust into action, with the game on the line for Florida. Interesting.

Offense is looking good, though. I am looking forward to a lot of copy and paste stats from you this season.

You're so clueless that you don't even know that I posted months ago that Zaire should never have even been considered for an xfer to UF. Only the Michi troll and a couple of other clueless twits wanted him at UF, I certainly never did. I thought that UF would have learned it's lesson after the 'Charlie Cheeseburger' schematic advantage fiasco, about taking anything from the nuttless of neutered lame...

This Tennis-sea loser, has-been troll needs to come here to foam at the mouth.
UF 11-1 rubber dollies,,, along with losing the all time W/L record years ago...

PS
UF HC is 2-0 in SECe-C's.
While Tennis-sea's Head-BJ is 0-4 in SECe-C's.
But I'm still not on any rubber dollie board yappin' about it. o_O

Saban wins with any assistant coaches, but the rumor has always been he encouraged Nussmeir to leave after one year

Like I’ve been saying for months now, Florida needs to find a QB and stick with that QB for the whole year so he can develop. Mac and Nuss hasnt done this going on 3 years now and it may never happen while they are here at UF!!! We can blame everybody but it’s the Staffs fault because they believe none of the QBs are working in their system while the system is the problem.

But the Michi-troll and a couple of clueless other's, are always totally dialed in, like they have been while touting their new boyfriend Zaire, for months now....

(ignore temporarily suspended,,, but back in place immediately to avoid being bored to death)

Mc-Nuss showed their true colors yesterday. Their recruitnf and coaching exposed without the Champ leftovers. Maybe Trask will get in one of these days

Saturday Football Recap:
The Gator's Suck -- The Criminoles Suck -- End of Story... :(

Season: 8-9 wins.
IF they return to Atlanta,,, another beat down by Satan.

Franks led the Gators to just 4 1st downs in 6 series, unable to get out of his own way, he tripped to the ground on 2 drop-backs pass attempts, and only recovered 1 of his 2 fumbles. Franks didn't have any 1st game jitters, he's just not any better than he looked, or has looked all along imoho. o_O

Zaire finished 9 of 17 for 106 yds, and his touted mobility gave up 5 sacks, 2 fumbles, 1 lost. -- Nuss said that Trask was as good as any 5 star that he'd evaluated, so he puts the nuttless chump in his place for 2017. Genius!

Neither QB even broke the 60% completion percentage barrier for the game. They did manage to get 5 sacks and have 4 fumbles (1 for a Mich TD) though, while putting up ZERO points in the game. o_O

They've wasted any real progress by Trask and Allen, in order to dick-around some more with LDR and Zaire.

Cleveland had his hands buttered for the game, and he forgot how to block.
Swain can't run a sharp route or get open, back to 2nd teamer. Try Green in his place.

The OL's blocking schemes were a joke, more than the OL was needing to be thrown under the bus. o_O
TE Lewis is another of the several O'lay blockers.

~ RB Malik Davis 8 ypc, so leave him on the bench. No need to start a RB controversy with Scarlett...

There were a few bright spots:
DL had 5 sacks and 8 TFL.
DB's had 2 pick-6's and they only gave up 218 yards of passing offense.
True Fr C.J.Henderson can play, but the other young DB's still need some 'assignment responsibility' work.
LB'ers had 19 Tkls. Soph MLB Reese had 11 Tkls, 1 TFL. A dinged up K.Johnson did okay with 4 Tkls coming in off the bench. Moon and Joseph were mostly irrelevant.

ST's star was P Townsend, 6 for a 54.7 average. A great start towards the Ray Guy Award.
(he seems likely to put up some huge total stats for the coming season) :(

This following is about the best assessment that I've read since the game:

Michigan is a physically talented team. But it’s not that much stronger, faster or quicker than the Gators. What was apparent going back and watching the film was that Michigan trusts its players, even after they make mistakes. Michigan trusts its film study and game plan. Michigan trusts freshmen to execute complex concepts that some seniors would struggle with. And the Michigan players are expected to trust each other.

Florida showed none of that. The coaches didn't trust their own film study, going away from plays that should work against what Michigan was trying to do. McElwain didn't go for it on fourth down because he didn't trust his offense to get the 3 yards, even though that was the right call.

The offensive line, tight ends and running backs could not trust each other in either run or pass blocking. And the defense could not trust each other to maintain gap discipline or stay in their zone assignments.

==============

They will likely need to cross their fingers to even make it to the Outback
If they keep on with the direction they are going, it might only be 6-7 wins and the Chick... Come to think about it, it might already be time to just go ahead and write off this season and hope for better with another recruiting class coming in for next season... o_O

Note: Getting paid 4 Mill+ a year to chit your pants, makes the losses a lot more tolerable than they are for just an everyday fan... o_O
The loss of 10 players had no affect on the outcome, they would have done no better if all 10 of those suspended players were there and available. If they played Bama next week and all 10 were back, they would likely still lose by 50+ pts, unless Bama played their 3-4 strings in the 2nd half.

~ Hey Mc,,, "we'll be OK" just ain't gonna get it for long... Ok ain't worth 4 Mill/Yr.
Rant Complete...

Hold up, I agree with what you say about sticking with one QB and not defending or making any excuses for them what so ever.

Year 1 they had a battle between Treon and Grier. Once Grier took it...it was all Grier but oh Willie got above the program and got suspended. So it was all Treon from that point. Then Treon broke the law so....

We go to year 2. It was a battle between LDR and Appleby. LDR won the job and took all the snaps until he was injured.

This crap the other night of pulling Franks for one simple fumble on a good play by the defender and putting in a 5th year guy who looked at a deer in headlights, I have no idea.

Probably because Franks looked that way also. Our O line got even worse if that was possible late in that game.

For an RSF Franks didn't look that horrible.

I was fine with a series...maybe two if trying Zaire but it was obvious to the anyone watching he had no idea what he was doing. He should have been pulled with a quickness.

A lot of RS Freshman do good now but I will admit no QB was going to look decent with our offensive line that day. Tennessee will be his real test probably. Like I said I hope I am wrong but I think he has a little Driskel in him and that is why he was fumbling the ball well before it was time to stretch it out and was getting his feet mixed up. Nothing he did gave me any confidence he will be a good QB eventually. We have like 6 frickin scholarship QBs on the roster and LDR could possibly be the best one. Its a frickin joke the position we are in right now.

When the camera kept scanning on LDR during the 4th...I was thinking to myself "Heck let's roll with him again".

Yes it's sad...very sad. I honestly say let's try Franks and Trask next game if possible roll in some Jake Allen. If none do anything right let's just roll with LDR from here on out and hope Corrall sticks to his commitment.

I agree you have to give Franks most of the game against North Colorado and start him against Tenn to see what happens.
