An indication of good this team is that we lost to Gonzaga by 5. They're undefeated, ranked #1 and most of their wins have been blowouts. And that was an early season game before the Gators found their stride and intensity.

That is really the issue. When an individual member of the team tries to play hero ball, the whole team falters. If they play as a group and stay connected, they are very good.

Winning 6 straight in the NCAA Tournament against increasingly good competition is really tough. This team is capable, but everything would have to click almost perfectly for them to pull it off. Kind of like NC State did under Valvano. But it's possible.

The early Dance Counsel's ranking was #11 UF as a 3 Seed in the South Region.

I said pre-season that I thought that they were a Dance team for sure, with maybe a Sweet 16 appearance. I still believe that, and anything beyond the 16 would be icing on the cake for me.

I've also been saying that Mike White was the best thing that could have happened to UF B-Ball after BillyD left, and now I'm even more sure of that.

Who cares about basketball? College basketball is one of the worst sports to watch. Its like watching a pick up game in the gym. Its just boring. Even if fsu won a national title in college basketball, i would literally care zero. If u told me we could winnthe football NC once every 10 yrs or winnbasketball every year, i would pick football once every ten

Watched it a few times. Its boring. The majority of those players are not nba players. Most of them suck but have been tall and tried to perfrct their craft since they were in middle school. I get just as much out of watching a pick up game at a local gym. There is what? 200 or 300 teams? All the good players are 1 and done, tough to keep up with. The majority of major college teams put the majority of their players in the nfl at least for a year or two. There is only 120 some teams for college football and 24 positions(25 if you include long snapper) and more if u include different formations 3-4 vs 4-3 defense, offenses that run 3wr vs offenses who use a full back. In the nba, there is only 5 positions. 5 vs 25, 120 some teams vs 2 to 300. Its really not that hard to understand.

A lot of college players make the nfl jus on special teams as well. 52 man rosters vs 12 overall.

Football is also more exciting to warltch. College basketball needs to get rid of tye rule where defenses can pack the paint and not get a defensive 3 seconds. Because thats all they do and it turns into a clunk fest off the rim becuz most of the players are not skillful enough to hit contested shots. Its boring to me
