Do not believe they can do anything to existing mortgages, but definitely will try to for new mortgages.
If you worked are and were successful you got screwed by every president in history stop whining about leveling the playing field each and every one of you benefits from the tax code you’re all free loaders in my view. Each and every one of you.

And the Tax code has definitely not work to benefit me. And I would venture a guess, many on here can say that.
Leveling the playing field DOES NOT mean bailing out banks or making someone with good or better credit pay more so to help the bank in case someone with less then good credit has problems paying for their loan.
How about making housing affordable?
How about teaching people about finances and how to make and stick to a budget.
How about holding the bank responsible and having them work with someone who is having trouble making a payment.
How about passing a law to make it illegal to be a predatory lender who prays on people with bad credit and makes loans they know more than likely will fail.

Now your just showing your ignorance. Yes, the top 5% of tax payers pay about 80% of all taxes. This is because they earn a ton more $ then the rest so they pay a ton more. But, that top 5% would be paying even more if not for benefits from the Tax Code or loop holes in the code.

How about this:
Everyone gets the exact same stipend from the govt regardless of what job they are assigned. Every business and all property is owned by the govt. Health care is free, food and energy prices are all controlled by Uncle Sam. Housing is standardized.
