I understand a little frustration with our recruiting "misses" over the past week. However, what I don't really get is how certain posters are constantly raging against the coaching staff and saying they can't recruit and can't "close". It's true there are a couple of guys at important positions that we didn't get, but why does the staff get no credit for "closing" Franks, Pineiro and Gardner?

QB and Kicker were far and away the 2 most important positions for us to upgrade this cycle and we got 2 of the very best. We also have a top rb already enrolled with another on the way, a very good linebacker and a 4* DT that was a 5* before he gained bad weight. We have a very good receiver class and we still may get Cleveland. Don't forget about our 5* DE that dominated all star week. Put that together with a bunch of very good 3* guys and I think it's a pretty damn good class. It's true that we didn't get the OL that we wanted but the OL class in Florida this year was ridiculously weak. I wish we would have gotten a few more guys but considering how we finished the season I happy with this class even if we don't add anyone.

I just don't get all the negativity. It's like as soon as a guy commits they no longer count. What if our staff asked Clayton, Manuel and Perine to wait til signing day to commit...would that make people happier? What if Franks, Pineiro, Gardner and Reese weren't early entries...would that give us "more momentum"? Some people are ridiculous.
