How does Miami get away with BS

I got some thoughts on the Franks criticism, but it might make everybody uncomfortable so I'll keep my thoughts to myself on that.

Franks seems to get the same criticism as Jameis. He will do something that every1 else does but it gets more attention. Do i think both of them are a little odd? Yes.

Not what I'm getting at. But Jameis in some ways is a good comp.

I guess we are old school (actually you are young but) let your play on the field do the talking, I get it. I cringe as well during the flexing and such after a good play and that always gets the zebra's ire up. Don't give them shit to flag you for, that's my motto.

It happens every single time we play those fvckers. They talk ish non stop. From coaches down to the mascot. We do something as simple as a fist bump and get a flag.

I remember in the Sugar Bowl when Reche Caldwell got a flag for simply pointing first down.

I'm now in the @sadgator camp. To hell with playing them. Nothing good comes out of it. Old axx fvckers dressed like 1980 gangsta fans slurping down cheap beer starting shit with kids in the crowd.

It’s like everyone is looking for the reaction to their thuggery and ready to pounce on us for the slightest of things...it’s a huge trap...the flags last night were ridiculous.

WELL THEN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! You had every opportunity to shut them up. Instead of trying to arm tackle, man up and put a hat on somebody! And instead of prancing around in front of the fans, Franks should’ve been pumping up his teammates and acting like he’d been there before. Be a leader for God’s sake. He skipped around taunting the ‘Canes fans, then went right back out and completed a beautiful pass to a wide open Miami DB................BRILLIANT!!!

Wake up, Gators!
Bitch slapping you in Jax this year won’t be any fun at all if you come crawling in with 2 or more losses!!!

Franks is nothing like Winston

Winston was lucky to remain in college

Franks is a straight arrow who has done the tragic like throwing an ill timed interception and being hurt by his home town fans booing him

His bravado is indeed like so many players but he takes extra shit

If Florida is going to compete for titles, he will need to play better. Which is not exactly rocket science thinking. Suspect he will.

This is pure garbage. We’re you this critical of Moreno posing after every five yard run and hamming it up? QBs like Franks, Winston, and Tebow play with emotions. You want them being emotional because it’s when they’re at their best. What you don’t want is when things are bad they lose control of those emotions. That seems to be Franks problem. As a rival that faced Tebow all four years, when that dude started pumping up the crowd you knew you were in for a long day. Franks still has to mature when things are going bad but the criticism is over the top.

There were plenty of hats put on them by the front 7. It was the DB"s that were missing tackles on their speed guys. It happens to all teams in every game.

Quit acting like UGA is the Gods to college football and total class acts in rivalry competition. Look at your losses to LSU and Texas before acting like you are some Clemson type program.

He wasn't taunting Cane fans as he was targeting Gator fans to pump them up.

I think Miami gets away with so much because of long-standing perceptions. Presentation is often subconscious and when the public accepts something abnormal as normalcy double standards can happen. Miami’s reputation as bad boys goes a long way into them getting away with behavior that most teams couldn’t; it’s not fair but it happens. Zebras are human and they can be influenced by stereotypes just like anyone else.

Yep, that's what went through my mind watching the game last night. Miami's bravado and showcasing reputation precedes itself and everyone, including refs, act like it's just part of their game and they get higher tolerance than other teams before flags are thrown. Our guy looks and talks and gets unsportsmanlike.....Miami players must swing before they get the unsportsmanlike.

It is something how Georgia fans strut as though they have truly accomplished nothing something

Sorry, but they have not, certainly not to reach this level of bravado

The good

Have elevated themselves to being the best in the East. Along with that they have a two game winning streak over Florida and won the SEC in 2017 avenging a bad loss to Auburn. In both the last two years they were close to winning or competing for national titles (which makes them like a handful of other schools) but fell just short of Alabama

They had really nice runs in 2012, 2007 and 2002 as well. Most other years they were solid although no great shakes.

Meanwhile, Alabama has won five national titles in the last 10 seasons and were close in many other years during that stretch, that really extends to 11 seasons

Clemson has won two and played in the playoffs two other years

Gators won two in 06-08, were close in 09, and were at a national level for a few decades before that, winning it all in 96...making three in 13 seasons

FSU won it all in 2013, 1999 and 1993
Miami has its two fantastic runs
USC
Oklahoma nearly every year in recent vintage
Ohio State winning two since 2002 and being close many other years
Nebraska was devastating from about 1993 through 1997 and continued at an elite level several years after that
Auburn won it all in 2010 and came within one play in 2013
LSU won it all twice
Etc

Somehow, modern Georgia fans places themselves with the above. And that is wrong

Two really strong years in a row, one of them that ended with a very good but hardly college football lore memories 10-3 record, does not make them Alabama

Check yourselves mutts

Mutt privilege. LMAO!

Tebow was praised constantly (usually deserved) and had it been Tebow running to the crowd, it would be highlights for a decade plus.

Fvck, people would have even praised Will Grier.

Exactly.

When certain QB’s pump up the crowd or chest bump and talk trash it’s because they’re intense competitors and are great leaders. But when it comes to Franks he’s arrogant and a showboater. Same exact shit, two completely different reactions.

It seems to just be personal with Franks. People don’t like him so everything he does gets scrutinized more heavily.

TG, Tebow was pumping up the crowd and/or his teammates for the game.
Franks seems to be strutting for himself, like a barnyard rooster...o_O

What is the difference? You just made two imperative statements but provide no examples of the difference between the two players interacting with the crowd. But I’m in your corner on this, Trask and his very large hands and broad shoulders should definitely be starting. I’m petitioning to make any game he plays a shirts vs skins game. Can I count on your signature?

Insta, going to have to disagree. Tebow would do the exact same and it makes PlayStation covers.

Yes the final INT was a bonehead throw. But had it been Rex Grossman, Will Grier, or even Doug Johnson...it would have went down as being a competitor and a gunslinger. All of those I just mentioned all had their bonehead moments.

So far Franks is 11-3 while playing for Mullen.
